I managed to win the ‘avoid hearing Last Christmas’ challenge last year.

It was a proud moment tbh.

I ****ing hate Christmas btw, have I mentioned this before? <laugh>

This year, without all the forced joviality, the dreaded works do (that I have to organise) and the horror of actually visiting shops full of desperate trudging men with no ****ing imagination & the cringeworthy horror of having to socialise with neighbours. I might actually enjoy it <ok>

Bet the neighbours will be devastated <cheers>

Gotta admit the tree is probably my favourite part. Not the actual buying and shlepping of tree, or the decorating, but I do like walking into the lounge after a day’s graft when I come home and having that Christmas vibe going on.
I live on my own, can’t be ****ed with all the hassle.

Yeah. Well, I’ll have my Xbox and copious amounts of wine and food.

First Xmas ever on my own, looking forward to it.
I get invited to Xmas dinners each year.

Sadly it the dinner bit that irks me.... I'm never gonna eat a full blown meal at lunchtime, and watch overspoilt brats that early.
Mind i don't know what's worse, annoying family or a ****ing X box?

The main mission is getting my Mum down here and back from Manchester. She'll come down on the train and I'll drive her home (and then meet with a couple of mates) assuming this is even 'allowed'.

One of my bro in laws has to travel from Reading, apart form that it's just us and her parents, so they can walk round. My other bro in law and nephew's live in Egypt and won't be able to travel so they can't come.

My brother will **** off to the Lakes with his wife and hide from it all, like they always do.

Christmas Eve compromised as we can't book anything, probs go for walk on the beach and have a couple of drinks in the local. We usually eat out but it's chilli's and tacos and other such stuff in the house instead.

Am actually looking forward to it. Didn't have any plans to be going out and getting bladdered anyway, can have decent food and drink at home.

No idea what we'll be allowed to do with regards meeting people not family.

Won't miss the work do, at all.

The mission has taken a turn.

Now it's a five day all in affair, no way is my Mum getting on a train with the rest of the British hoards who have been 'allowed' to travel on pretty much two specific days.

What a great ****ing idea that is, has anyone actually thought it through? Course not.

So, my brother will take my mother down to somewhere in Gloucestershire on the 22nd and stay the night, and I will pick her up after work on the 23rd and take her to ours. He's not playing ball on the journey back though, despite the fact he's having a nice relaxing week in the Lakes and I offered to drive her to Stafford services so he doesn't even have to deviate form the M6 in picking her up. Cheers bro.

No, he's staying put, so I'll be driving her all the way back. I then have to drive myself back home on the 28th, which is probably 'illegal' by that point. ****ing **** sake.

Got no doubt that the roads will chocker on the 27th as well, with everyone travelling back for wherever they've been.

Joyeux Noel though, obvs.

That’s nice of him innit.

If you’re hanging around and the pubs are open let’s get ****ed up.

If I had a couple of nights up there, i'd be well up for that.

Reckon I've got one night at best, will just about get out locally probably. That or drive up to a mates and go local to him and kip at theirs.

Will want to get back down here ultimately, so that last few days I've got off are fairly peaceful with no guests constantly round the house!

What was a pretty simple issue for us has just become a ****show. My 3 kids couldn’t all come for Christmas as that’d be 4 households. However, no drama as the eldest and her hubby had decided to go to his parents this year.

Now their ****wit Mother and her husband have decided to come back from Dubai for Christmas. He’s got 2 adults kids with their families. She wants them all together on Christmas Day with my 2 to come here Boxing Day. Can’t happen, but she’s not having it, ****ing idiot.

Got myself this to read over Xmas, robbos was sold out but should grab one before Xmas I think.

Just me the mrs, will pop Round old man's on Xmas day, I won't be drinking at all, decided to **** that off.

Gone early mate, fair play.

Was a toss up between next weekend or the one after for us but deffo going next week.

Just redecorated the front room, all ready for a big tree and loads of festive tat to ruin it.

Christmas tunes on next week, tune into the Heart Christmas channel.

Mrs is back at work next Saturday and I’ve got stuff to do on the Sunday for work so next week was a no-go.
