Probably in the same bracket as George best. Just had demons of his own.

Makes you rethink your own priorities mind. 60 is young.

Argentina will literally be in mourning.

Sad news. Not sure he’s been right for a long time both physically and mentally. How the **** Gazza is still going is beyond me but this is indeed sad news and somewhat of a shock.

Liked him as a player and he was a character... I miss characters these days... They're all dull

RIP

Greatest attacking player I've ever seen. I understand people love Pele, Messi, Ronaldo etc and they point to this stat and that stat. There may be better records available and if you are including things like that and professionalism, then yeah he probably isn't the greatest. On pure talent however, I've never witnessed anything like him. People talk about winning games on your own. He did this whenever he felt like it, and basically single handedly delivered a world cup to his country.

Absolute arsehole for 86 of course, and seemed to be a complete bell end who never got over not being the centre of attention when his career ended.

As Chaos points out, characters like him are dying breed now.

Cheating twat and great player rolled into one. He cheated us out of a possible WC semi-final against Belgium in 1986. The second goal was something else like but for most England fans who were there in 86 or who watched it, 'la mano de dios' is painful.

Genius player, an all time great, not saying greatest of all time, but probably in the top 5.

Very troubled personal life, but like Gazza, he'll be remember more for his playing ability.
