Because it is so blatant & purposely provoking...............Feels like we're playing "catch up" for years gone past......
Well maybe now you know how the others felt being underrepresented throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s, etc...
Because it is so blatant & purposely provoking...............Feels like we're playing "catch up" for years gone past......
Personally I think it's the way that the "word" is said that makes it offensive....If done in jest and light friendly banter amongst friends etc, I really don't see the problem......
coffee morning done and dusted … come to the conclusion that all the party poopers who want to rewrite history become excessively correct flaunt the law in times it will affect everybody …. NEED TO GET A LIFE … the advertising agencies are coining it in, companies are ruled by them and by changing the adverts on a regular basis, making them controversial and disproportionate as has been the case in the past year ... they are the cats with the cream … next round will be ISIS fighters racing up and down the aisles filling their shopping trollies with ...and claiming J*****y is king …...research before you comment is my motto [ do it most of the tie not always as memory quite good ]If it's disproportional now, where were you for the 99.9% of TV before nowadays which was disproportional in the opposite direction? Didn't matter so much then eh?
research before you comment is my motto [ do it most of the tie not always as memory quite good ]
tv ADS and the past …. 70's 80's 90's etc look at the populations ! should you be old enough look at your workplaces through the decades I started work [proper] about 1964 Alex was the first person I ever worked alongside he was from Jamaica, had a family at Speedwell school? so had to be around 30's??? Work force at that company was about 250.
next job 15 years, work force was about 2000 and can only remember about 8 black people … 80's I was self employed for most of it various products .. sales manager and probably came across a couple .. maybe 6? … 90's one job and 3, one was Asian mixed race and 2 from Barbados, born and bred one was black the other white! from 2000 till now worked with 2 but from 1983 have had about a dozen "friends" ….
so when you make a judgement add in the whole playing field ….. oh missed one out 2 years on nights worked "alongside about 8 -10 temps" but company over shifts and days probably employed 10 / + agency total about 40 from workforce of about 250.
you would expect there to be a disparity between 70's 80's 90's & now … however think about our population breakdown we have Europeans and also also numbers of Asians and white south Africans as part of our population make up why leave them out .. don't see Sainsbury advertising Poland! … <---- !?

Not really, If I'd moved to Spain.....I would expect 99% of representation to be Spanish..One of the reasons why I would want to be thereWell maybe now you know how the others felt being underrepresented throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s, etc...
Still nothing on what you would do with the advert? Not really, If I'd moved to Spain.....I would expect 99% of representation to be Spanish..One of the reasons why I would want to be there
So how long should we feel bad for, before expecting to move on, to be proportional ?
It's posts like yours which shows that the cause against racism still as a long way to gothat should be MI A WOW
The Rhodri Giggs one was amazing.
How about a few white neighbours popping & joining in.....Would that have been festive and showing integration? .......But, then there's nothing to talk about...It's all about impact marketing!!Still nothing on what you would do with the advert?
get real there is nothing racist about that post …. but the latter part of your comment is correct there is so much confusion being generated by PC, BLM, programmes by established Black stars seeking their heritage and turning over stones that put shadows on both sides of the story there is a long way to go .. I am sure the Black Dr. [ not medical ] and the mixed race Prof on our coffee mornings would agree […. there is much to be done and a lot of muddy water to clear ….. ]It's posts like yours which shows that the cause against racism still as a long way to go
What in a lockdown? How about a few white neighbours popping & joining in.....Would that have been festive and showing integration? .......But, then there's nothing to talk about...It's all about impact marketing!!
Do you think otherwise?
Your post was one of the most racists post I've seen in a long time. You basically said that Sainsburys shouldn't show a black family because they don't show Poles. And why we are at it how do you know they aren't showing Poles in their adverts?get real there is nothing racist about that post …. but the latter part of your comment is correct there is so much confusion being generated by PC, BLM, programmes by established Black stars seeking their heritage and turning over stones that put shadows on both sides of the story there is a long way to go .. note in brackets in italics is part of their comment when I asked permission to mention them.
twist and turn
We are unlikely to be in lockdown at Christmas...What in a lockdown?

Its a Christmas advert advertising Christmas, I don't see any mention of integration, and yes I do think otherwise. Its an advert showing a family at Christmas It staggers me when people say with a straight face that the UK isn’t institutionalised racist when a simple advert creates such furore. This will only be eradicated when people, when faced with an advert like this, only sees a family at Christmas instead of a black family at Christmas. We are unlikely to be in lockdown at Christmas...
You didn't answer the question...actually 2 questions!!!

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried mate.......typical BritAnd yet judging by your posts you'd probably be the typical Brit who moved there and then complained about the food or the culture![]()

Your Judgements are typical of your posts.....shaded at bestSo It's ok for black & ethic races to point out that they are being underrepresented then?.......BlimeyIts a Christmas advert advertising Christmas, I don't see any mention of integration, and yes I do think otherwise.
