Obviously we all vote in our local constituencies to elect an MP who may or may not form part of the Governement. However we all know we're really voting for a particular political party and the big cheese at the head, who will become PM if that political party is successful. Not everyone thinks like that, but most do. Couldn't bring myself to vote for Blair...nearly did once but spolied my ballot paper instead.
