    1. Wholly wrong. It is very likely that many individuals will be aware of their illness because of the symptoms. Many not all.
    2. It is not a flu virus and to compare it to flu is both dangerous and ignorant.
    3. I work in three care services. Covid is responsible for the death of 2 service users out of 14 in one of these care settings. A further service user was admitted to ICU and this Individual will never recover fully from the damage Covid related pneumonia did to their lungs. Your 99% is factually incorrect. The figures for fatalities alter across demographics significantly.
    4. Err .. Treatment can be anything from rest to critical care and Invasive procedures.
    5. Probably wrong .. Yes it is. An example there are multiple forms of MMR vaccine in use around the globe.

Covid is not the ultimate, as I pointed out before it is different and exceptional. The way the virus exists and sheds is different to other viruses. The extreme measures reflect the exceptional nature of this virus v others.

1.Disagree, plenty of people and that I know testing positive didn't have a clue..
    2. Effects are similar I said....and if you have a really bad case I would say it's similar especially if you have other illnesses. I've also seen it..
    3. If you are tested positive, your survival rate is over 99%
    4. They now have quite a few drugs to deal with it, only a few require a ventilator
    5. Fact, do you not read the news?...Vaccines have been developed..

    Next?

Humans are uncertain beings, underlying causes can suddenly manifest themselves and treatment times are longer to cure them than some people have!

maybe the wrong TIC? people struck by lightening ...not ... dying from it most definetly not!

a few years back a symposium of the major drug companies highlighted a fact when pressed why more S & D was not carried out to prevent certain [ I will generalize and say ] AILMENTS. The answer was cost and then profit ...without profit they cant spend so S & D suffers. They get no money from government help. Whilst they admitted they didn't attempt some illnesses they stated they do apportion funds to smaller "lab work" to investigate and produce certain medicines and vaccines ... short funding leads to longer lead in time.
Covid has seen trillions world wide pumped in by governments it is not just a handful of "pharma" pursuing a vaccine/cure it is hundreds!

    1. You made a generalisation. It is highly likely people will be seriously ill, it is highly likely people will be moderately ill, it is highly likely people will be unaware they are infected and these symptoms and non symptoms affect demographics differently = The symptoms are divergent.
    2. And effects are also nothing like flu which is logical as it is NOT a flu virus.
    3. Wrong. There are differing rates across demographics. Fatality in under sixteens is a percentile of a %.
    4. A glib answer. Hospitalisation is commonplace multiply that by the Country wide picture and it is clear this virus does not just seriously affect a few. The numbers of people are significant - For myself and my experiences in care exceptional, for some of my colleagues extremely stressful and deeply emotional.
    5. In regards to Covid no I do not I read the updates I receive from public health England and from the support services e.g. virologists the services I work in are employing .. My reply was to your more vaccines than any other virus .. Viruses frequently have numerous vaccines of varying efficiency (inefficiency!) and longevity so Covid-19 will not have more vaccines than any other virus and hopefully will not require them either.

I am surrounded by currently 47 people who have it [tested] immediate family circle who have tested + and knew outweigh by 66% to 33% who were completely unaware
wrong this is an arbitratonal figure based on ALL ... different groupings have far different %'s [ 99% of over 45's don't! ]
there is not quite a few, there is one or 2 known cheap steroid based that help in easing the process to recovery
Yes they have [ I have shares in 3 bio medical companies and one has been developing a "aid" for last 9 years ] every stage has to undergo extreme testing by independent "juries" to check safety side effects etc etc so currently not in use so not developed.. .. are in the process! It has taken me till this year to have a flu jab .... I will be very "UNTRUSTING OF ANY HASTILY PUT TOGETHER VACCINE".. simply because some past vaccines have had later worse side effects than what they were treating

Again anecdotally, I'd probably have been unaware that I had Covid, my symptoms were extremely light, but every other person I know who has it or has had it would have known. Not only that but when it goes wrong, the thought of how bad it can be.. it's just a nasty illness.

So basically my points are right then, you're just going around in circles. When you say wholly wrong....it must be for affect!! Dramatic, like the media!!
It's always stressful in hospitals, never been any different at peak times......Beds in corridors, being treated in Ambulances because there's no beds etc, How many years do we hear about that? This is not unique... Not seen so much of that this year so far!
As to the Flu, no it's not Covid but still is able to attack our respiratory system and with bad cases of it cause major lung problems....Again I've seen it...And if you have an underlying heath condition such as COPD it's lethal.......Similar then!!
As to Vaccines, we will have more, coming out of the woodwork soon............guaranteed!! The demand will be worth billions!!

Like I said, rather than misleading statements and figures that we are being fed, we need hard facts.
We need perspective for the effect this is having on the whole population. All other health issues, along with mental health, jobs, education and the long term effect on the economy.

And yet the irony is whenever I (or someone else) gives you facts, like the excess deaths or the number of cases or what have you, you dispute them for reasons unknown, but you are then happy to go ahead and believe completely unsubstantiated claims like the fact that it's all some sort of big conspiracy.

For someone who loves to complain about the biased media (which it is by the way, just not always in the way that you think), you almost always convey the exact opinion that a rich media owner would want you to have!

<ok> That's the impression I get ... to many flowers!

you are answering your own question 1 for the hard facts are there example is you pick up on 99% do not die but the hard facts are...
99% a likely overall figure .. however, the hard facts of this line of thinking are there published here there and everywhere even been published on here !!!

    eg 10 in 1000 die [ 1% ] but of these 90% are over 60-65 so 3 hard facts apparent ...1) 10 in 1000 die... 2) 9 in 1000 over 60 -65 die 2) 1 in 1000 other ages die.
You can from what is published determine how many black people die or ethnic groups die which would leave white people [ OK not pin point accurate as the info to get is twice as likely or % likely ] another 6 hard facts!
DAILY THESE FIGURES CHANGE so at any singular point in time you will get a different picture and any "broadcast "would be twice as long to get them over!

suns out off for a walk 2 miles+

Come on, you can't keep on about excess deaths......as a year we don't know them and wont for a while.....They are only what was predicted at that period..
I've not a clue what you're on about as regards to your last point....My opinion is mine, nothing to do rich owners whatsoever!

Your point was wrong. You made a generalisation. The consequences and outcomes of Covid - 19 are variable.

My experiences of care now are unique and so are my colleagues whose service outstretches my twenty plus years by decades. We have not experienced anything like this before. 25% of the service users in one home either died or were admitted to ICU in three weeks due to this virus is my unique experience ... Nothing comes close to that. The control measures we employ are unique to combat a virus that has exceptional characteristics.

The information provided by public health England which informs the services I work in is factual and science led. It’s not media opinion.

Perspective - Health first as a hierarchal necessity always.

That's true....................I'm reading too much <laugh>................but I do like to gather as much information (away from main stream as possible) and get some perspective of what's going on.......

Because we are concentrating on this one virus, it happens with outbreaks of other diseases, but are not monitored or collated or calculated in the same way as Covid....
All the deaths we are led to believe are of Covid alone..No other virus or outbreak has been given the same report or certificates of death.
You could have weeks left with incurable heart disease, but if tested positive you're added to the Covid death rate.
Dementia (know people that's gone through that too, Father in law included and died from it) is now a very common illness amongst our much of our ageing population, which also affects all sorts of health issues, which will eventually lead to those patients dying.....But again a positive test and that is what's put on the Covid death rate.. That's wrong and totally misleading..

So pardon my ignorance here, but the latest government fatality figures for Covid state that cases are included as a statistic if Covid is mentioned on the Death Certificate, even if the deceased patient hadn't had a test.
So aside from a Doctor or some other medical official presuming the cause of death was just Covid related and without positive test results, that could lead to all sorts of false reporting ?
Or am I missing something ?

I won't go into it again in detail because I'm sure everyone has had enough, but that's the exact reason why 'excess deaths' are measured. It's a loose way of getting around that problem.

As it stands, excess deaths suggests around 18k more have died from Covid in the UK than officially recorded.
