They've done nothing wrong, they just want to keep their personal thoughts and work life separate. Just because someone behaves in work, because they are working for the government or a corporate/professional body, does not mean they hold those same views in personal life, it just means like all of us, they have bills to pay. Complex situation indeed.

Exactly mate.

The aim of any regulation would be to clamp down on bot accounts, and those who deliberately spread misinformation (particularly high profile accounts) for whatever reason, together with reducing the obvious. However, the challenge for any regulation is to provide clear guidance, so operators can decipher exactly what is expected.

There should be no regulation that denies freedom of expression imo, merely a passing of responsibility to SM platforms to take ownership of what they allow to be published, as opposed to the current ‘not our problem, we’re merely a conduit’ situation.

For what it’s worth, I think you do a pretty good job on here. Obviously this place has a limited audience, and most people on here take all the nonsense with a pinch of salt.
