So why not the UK?
Do you pay more taxes than you need to ? Do your kids get into the best schools/colleges in the UK. Is the weather always great in some parts of the country ?
Probably a dozen more you could add to the list - providing you can tolerate your neighbours being American, or Swiss, or Monacan (?).

Or Phil Collins.

Lewis Hamilton, seven times world champion and the best driver of his generation, and arguably of all time.
Gonands to his tax status, residency, political views, best car, driving in circles, asinine blah blah blah guff.

Your forgetting the racist hate of him as well, what is it with the British to hate a very successful sportsman, Beckham gets similar ****, so what if he’s a bit of a dick, he’s officially the best F1 driver ever, suck it up haters/****ers

I'll preempt this by saying I don't give a flying **** about racing car drivers. It's just not my thing.

My real thoughts though are about successful people who choose to live wherever they want. A beautiful place, with a great climate, maybe.

It doesn't necessarily make you a tax dodger, does it?

Maybe you just want to live in a lovely place.

Like Brid or somewhere like that :emoticon-0105-wink:

I prefer Norwich

I'm sure you can find reasonably affordable sound insulation solutions if you have the brass ?
Anywhere.

I know this is gonna sound kinda crazy but not everyone is governed by money or how little tax they can get away with paying.

"In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love; they had five hundred years of democracy and peace and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock".
Orson Welles, The Third Man, 1949

I aren’t getting into an argument.

Hamilton has a lot of input into the engineering set up of the car. Perhaps he is also one of the key contributing factors behind his teams success other than downright ability.

It’s ridiculous to even suggest his success is solely down to the car. From carts right the way through to F1 he has demonstrated he was quicker than others with far greater amateur backing equipment and budgets.

His first ever run out in an F1 car at 17 he was as quick as a seasoned F1 driver in the very same car.

Like I said credit where it’s due. Like football, we seem to have a forum full of Formula 1 experts.

Apologies for wanting to celebrate British success.
If it’s down to just the car, how come bottas has the exact same car but is **** ????

Not forgetting the swiss army knife.

Those lads must have been on the bench for this game. Strong squad ? Even Grant could have been a success with that squad !

Stick me in that car and I’d win 10 x F1 titles back to back.

FACT.

Absolute joke of a past time.

I know I’ve banged this drum before but when my doctor tells me to get more exercise and I tell him I do at least an hour of sport a day I imagine it would go like this;?

Oh really Carmine what sport would that be?

I drive to work and back.

Oh well done big man, that’ll do you the world of good. You might want to double up and start playing chess as well.

Get to ****.

When you watch a race like yesterday , you see just how good of a driver he is , also before the race they showed the turkish grand prix I think in 2007 where he literally tore through the field in a mclaren like nothing I have seen before against drivers with better cars and much more experienced, (incidently the grand prix was a certain Sebastian Vettels debut and he showed some great driving skills that race also) .

Like others have said , fantastic driver and deserves all the plaudits for his driving , but he just has never been likeable for me , I think its just his outright determination to be the best for him and him only , which should be admired I guess

It's reasonable common knowledge that the Cuckoo Clock is a German invention.

So Orson Welles, huh? Greatest actor, writer, producer of his generation?

Anyone would have been as good with similarly affluent parents who paid for them to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Useless beardy hipster ****.
