To be honest the new owners need to decide which direction they want to go before picking the manager.

For example, if youth is the way, a manager good at developing. If its promotion at all costs this season, that should be a manager good at getting quick uplifts.

Its an incredibly crap time for us to need a manager change. Even another month would help.

I thought it was a soft penalty at the time, but watching it again, Power had every right to go for the ball, the MKD's player jumped at him from out of Powers line of sight. In my opinion it should never have been given but that doesn't excuse our performance and set up.

Sorry @MrRAWhite, I meant to quote you and agree with you

I dispute this - mostly because they aren't allowed to play well with the most salient example of this was playing 09 at centre back yesterday. Not only are his starting team picks beyond mysterious but he is unwilling or unable to use substitutions to change the team for the better, he sticks with the same style and then makes either like-for-like or reinforces the defensive nature of his starting line up. Added to the fact that he is like a stuffed dummy on the sidelines and you have got to wonder how he expects to influence his team to up their game during a match.

Yes, new ownership is a problem, but without action this is going to be another write-off season. Even in a fixed term contract you can be fired for incompetence - and that is what Parky deserves. Now is the time to fire him and bring someone else in on contract until the end of the season. Someone who can set the team up to attack and keep the likes of MK Dons penned into their half, too busy defending to even consider a quick break. The new owners can call it a consultancy exercise - just to see if a good manager can actually get anything out of these players before the transfer window.

Could they play better? Yes absolutely . Are they playing badly? No.

They had 500 passes with 85% accuracy compared to mk dons 250 passes and 70% accuracy. 65 of the possession. Double the number of corners. The problem is being unable to convert that into goals! The number of balls into the box we made without a single player getting onto the end of them.

We're still in a good position. Our strikers are letting us down but the rest of the team is playing well.

Until new owners are confirmed, and even then, new manager would have to deal with salary cap and everything else.

Doesn't mean I'm happy with parky, just not sure we could do any better. Any available managers better than pp who would want to come? Would a better manager be able able to do any better given the circumstances? I'm not convinced.
(edit: poyet had said he would like a 2nd go at it, would he be better than parky?)

We've been changing managers every season last 10 years, and it hasn't worked.

Get the new owners in, hope they can get the club setup right from top to bottom then think about changing the manager otherwise it'll just be rinse and repeat for the foreseeable future.
you have answered the question yourself, our strikers and tactics, Parky's responsible for both we have speed in the team and the players capable of supporting strikers its just Jurassic refuses to play these people, and only subs in the last 10 mins no matter how **** a performance some twats put in, he has had plenty of time to change and has even seen performances of where the team could be strengthened and with whom, but he refuses to let the penny drop, this is what McGeady saw and tried to fix it himself, but the lazy twats in the team complained, our trouble is over the hill and useless instead of young and keen, there are exceptions to the rule like Deofe and McGeady and before anyone says that he went off the boil, go back and watch on youtube what Parky made the team play like, no the wonder he complained he saw it being the professional he was, now we can but too late.So we pay him to sit on the bench to help Parky save face

discount the sideways and back passing that leaves us with a struggling team combined with a useless manager

As I said in my 1st post, If we can find a manager who is better than parky, who is a available and who wants to come then great, replace him. But I'm not convinced there is one. He's to blame for the crap strikers we have (kimpi is injured, but bringing in Graham was ridiculous), but we were having our best start to league 1 since we dropped down.

Plus, I'm not sure it will solve anything until we have new owners and a new setup and a plan to deal with a salary cap.
