Mate, Bielsa wasn't unknown in this country. He's a bit of a footballing legend... The likes of Pep Guardiola look up to him. I get the idea though and I'm not against it
@Account Removed Largely unknown to most in this country but known worldwide. Picking a manager list of 10 people 2 or 3 years ago most fans in the UK wouldn't put him on it. The list here in all honesty the managers win percentages are poor so I'm hoping its someone not on our radar thats well respected in world football.
Apparently his interview said he set us up to counterattack. Against a side who hasn't won away for 20 years - he should go for that comment alone. And I am not one who advocated chopping and changing managers but enough is enough now
I'm not against the Cowleys or Johnson who did a good job with Bristol city. Both young enough to start a long term project with our new billionnaire owners.
Im not sure mate. I just remember him playing for Boro. He made a guest appearance in one of the Nightclubs here at the time
Pearson built that Leicester squad up that won the league in 2016. Ranieri won them it, but he worked with the squad that Pearson created.
There’s a reason Clough has never managed higher than league 1. He was a disaster at Derby. I’d be very underwhelmed if he had come in. we need someone who can grow through the leagues. Could Cook get us into the premier league?
I want a young up & coming manager a la Jack Ross, but, as JR showed he needs an experienced sidekick/dof to help.
Poch went to Southampton, Bielsa went to Leeds and Nuno Santo went to Wolves. All in the Championship. I just think we need somebody to get us out of this league first and foremost.
If it's a choice off that list I'd go for Pearson. He might be mad as a box of frogs but he has got a few promotions under him so he gets the nod. In pure fantasy realms, Ralf Rangnick of course.
