I’d love this to be Tommy Fleetwood’s year.
I'd love to see Lee Westwood (even though he is a Forest fan) win a major. One of the few old timers not to have won won yet.
Be surprised if they finish the 2nd round tonight......less than 2 hours daylight left and some have 12 or 13 holes to play, at the pace they play that's the best part of 3 hours....

I read a story about how both Norman & Faldo were staying some distance from a British Open tournament, they both had Ferrari type cars and Greg took off from the hotel in a race.
Faldo chased him down and overtook him.
Norman said he did overtake him once but Faldo again, chased him down and won getting there.
The metal edge is everything.
It showed in 1996 Masters.
He did it in the Ryder Cup when Seve captained the team in the USA in 95. One down with two to play in the key match against Curtis Strange, Faldo's superb iron play piled the pressure on and Strange cracked losing both holes and giving Europe the outright win...
I was referring more to the fact that Faldo appears to be a stunningly boring twat with an addiction to the sound of his own voice and a love of his own opinion. Very steady golfer of course.

Bernhard Langer competed in his first major against a geezer born in 1902. This weekend he’s competing against a guy born in 2002.
Bernhard Langer having an outstanding first two days oldest man to make the cut at -4, and would love Tommy Fleetwood to win it simply because after 5 granddaughters we finally have a grandson named TOMMY, born 5 weeks early didn’t mention on here due to few problems early on however am pleased to announce a now very healthy 5 month old

DeChambeau is struggling to make the cut.
This after saying that Augusta was a par 67 for him.
I know the way he plays isn’t purist golf and is pretty dry to watch but he’s a genius. Not working out for him this time clearly but he’s special even if he makes golf a far worse sport to watch as more and more players gain success doing it his way.
His competitive longevity is amazing, perhaps only Tom Watson is comparable...

For staying power and longevity, Langer has no equal.
He's a truly remarkable sportsperson.
