Classic stuff.

Louis oosthuizen hits a lovely approach shot a foot to the stick.
After playing the shot, he takes his golf glove off and waves / acknowledges to the crowd for applauding his shot.
Problem was, there was no crowd or applause ........... Some habits are hard to beat!

This time of year that course will be defenceless against the monster hitters, some were hitting a drive and wedge on Par 5s in practice. Watch out for silly pin positions if scoring gets too low...

DeChambeau has bulked up by 40 pounds in the last few months so that he can hit the ball as far as possible. Golf should be about finesse not brute strength.

Showed him hitting 350 towards the end there. He really is an awkward looking golfer though.

He’s also really stretching the kit, was pondering using a 48 inch driver this week. It takes more than strength to hit anything accurately with a club that long. He has engineered himself to beat US golf courses. I don’t really blame him. You can hit it 400 yards but you still need finesse around and on the green. He’s a proper golfer, just prepared to do things others haven’t thought of. He’s a bit of a tit as well though, his slow play is a disgrace sometimes.

Course design has to come into managing the trend.

The game has changed, like tennis has become about the serve too much, and rugby is exclusively a big persons sport at the top level. Darts and snooker still pure though!

I'd like to see how he'd get on at Carnoustie or Muirfield.

Augusta has a way like no other in leveling things out.

Augusta giveth, and Augusta taketh away.

It’s that old saying that comes to mind Stroller,
“Drive for show, Putt for Dough”
It’s all right bulking up by two and a half stone and using a longer club, but if you cannot control where the ball goes, your pretty much useless.
From what I saw yesterday the big hitters were just smashing themselves into trouble whilst the medium to slightly shorter players were using position and finesse and appear to be getting better scores.
I’d rather have brains than brawn any day !!!

Best masters I saw I think was when Faldo was 4/5 shots behind Greg Norman on the last day & beat him

Faldo was 6 shots behind Norman going into the final round and won by 5 shots, shooting 67 to Norman's 78. A brilliant performance by Faldo, crushing Norman mentally.
