Apparently so. To be fair, up until 2014, our biggest moment was beating Austria 1-0 in 1990. It's tough. The double over Greece and the subsequent rise has been nothing short of a miracle. But there hasn't really been much to shout about

I think England should be fine. Croatia aren't the team they were, Czechia are a decent outfit though.
Honestly, Scotland might finally get out of the group stage this time round, now that a few third place sides go through as well.

can kinda count altidore, his loan ended at the season finale but, he did spend all season with us
reckon fans will be at the euros? ie hampden and wembley
id guess a reduced capacity at least
You know how annoying it is when you text someone with two questions and they always only answer one.
So which view don't you share;
- we all accuse footballers at all professional levels of not giving a ****.
- It was refreshing to see their emotion after the game?
I would hope so.
I imagine travelling may be reduced though, but due to Wembley so many matches, that shouldn't be a problem should England get far.
If England went all the way, they'd play 5 of 7 matches at Wembley.
When we reached the promised land of the Premier League and obviously hated anyone in that league (Rooney/Gerrard/Lampard etc), we were massively represented by the Oirish contingent (Macca, Brady, Quinn, Meyler, Long, etc).
Had we played in a major tournament, I'm really not sure who I would have wanted to win? Blind nationalism vs a cohort of players who I feel very attached to.
Therefore it was good to see us represented in the Scottish team albeit by ex players

Not 100%, but I'm certain there was an ROI game where we had four or five players in the XI at once.
I think it's fair to say that there's no love lost from both sides of the border....The majority of Scots want to see England beat at just about any sport and at times it's ****ing embarrassing!!! My 4 kids (all born in Glasgow)sway towards England footballwise,mainly because their Father is English(well at least I think I'm their Father

The accusation of professional footballers not giving a ****. Also lots of footballers show their emotions after a game, some even disco dance. Other home town players run half the length of Wembley at the final whistle, after a victory.
My view is that the Scots sense of humour overrides the apparent seriousness of their bitterness or malice. Despite the history between the countries over the centuries. Maybe the ones who emigrated, as well as the English, Welsh and Irish who did the same, have managed to overcome their differences. Maybe all the innuendo on the threads on this forum is imaginary ?
