The president wanted to go to the Church the "protesters" tried to burn down, a very famous and revered church connected with all US presidents.
Police asked them to move, they refused, they got moved

He wanted to go to church, it was closed? Under threat of being burned down.

So a peaceful gathering was dispersed, plus knowing the bible almost as well as your secret of the deal book, no need to take it with you

They tried to burn it down, it was damaged, it's a political symbol of America, its a famous church, so Trump wanted to show the Church is ok and make a point to a country that has a lot of religious folks

They refused to move, they got moved, end of.
