Out out out!

BREAKING: [HASHTAG]#MUFC[/HASHTAG] have lined up Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager if they sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer will not be sacked before Saturday’s game at Everton but is losing the confidence of the board.

I think it's obvious why Poch has not been snapped up by another club. He's been waiting for the United job IMO

I've no doubt that you're right but I'm sure that I read that he was being lined up at some other club in the papers the other day - just can't bloody find the article! Wonder if that was a little reminder to Man U to hurry up and make up their minds.

United have made some dreadful appointments and signings tbh ....
OGS was too much of a sentimental appointment imo. Never going to workout long term. Saying that, they have made some awful signings as you say. Luke Shaw is an awful footballer, the defending of the back 4 last night was hilarious. Saying all of that, I quite like watching them (and their pundit ex players) squirm. :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Incredible how much they've spent and how little they've got to show for it. Paid way too much for Maguire and Pogba.

I never thought Solskjaer would be any cop long term it always looked like a mistake. Poch would be a great choice to get them on track and rebuild an identity, with another billion spent on players no doubt.

A billion (a ****ing BILLION!) quid spent on players since Fergie fooked off in 2013 and demba ba tears them a new one! :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm Jesus christ.

Must be pissing Fergie off to see his legacy dwindling away to nothing. I kind of hated him at the time but now I've got nothing but respect for him.

Demba Ba was a blast from the past I'd forgotten all about him.

For me, the real blame at Man U is Woodward. He has too much control as he's well in with the owners. The transfer strategy seems to be "make a headline grabbing deal", without actually seeing if its right for the club. Pogba was chased by Fergie because of his lousey attitude, but they break the world record to bring him back and back him more than managers who get sick of his attitude. De Gea has wanted to ge away for ages, but instead of selling, they keep him with a vastly improved contract because he was rated one of the best keepers in the world a few years back, even though his form is nowhere near that now. Martial is supposed to be moody and not bothered, but won't be sold because he's Joel Glazers favourite player.
To be honest, if Fergie was still there I think the same things would have happened and fans would be saying that he was past it and should have retired by now. Mourinho fell out with a few players there, so when he went they was a bit of a new manager bounce, but it ended up with Pogba and Martials egos running wild and a few flukey wins, particularly in the Champions League, papered over the cracks and got Solskjaer the job longer term, even though he's patently not upto it. At a lesser team with lesser players, he'd already have been sacked because they'd really be struggling, but there's still enough quality there for them to be better than most even when not playing well.
