I'm still in the it's happening camp. No logical basis for that other than blind faith and a few positive tweets
Ashley wants out. He doesn’t like the insecurity of the situation. PIF can afford to take the gamble. He won’t gamble this time. Im convinced there’s a change coming. There is to much smoke in the public eye for their not to be. Once the legal challenges start it opens things wide open and we all know that they passed the O and D test and that there was no reason to block the deal other than something underhand. What that is we don’t know. But you bet your bottom dollar that the two chaps do not want that **** out in the public.
Claimed that the Saudid did not answer their questions I believe. Despite Staveley suggesting that they gave everything thry could.
Which is basically where the legal action kicks in. If staveley and confidence all they could then the PL can’t win. If they did in fact demand that they put the Saudi state as a director then that’s also a serious problem. Who are they to dictate who should run a company. People like Ashley don’t take legal action (look how dodgy he is so he’s not going to take it from Someone else) unless they are certain there has been bad **** happening.
Ashley's legal case, buyers liking what is probably a waste of time fan case, but still shows the interest is there. Looking at the big picture, covid can't be here forever and when things pick up again, Ashley will still want to sell and I'm sure there will eventually be new owners. I've always thought all along the most important thing in all of this is the fact he wants to sell this time, unlike in the past.
Yes according to the reports about demarco and the other lass. There wouldn’t be all this talk if not.
My money is on pif coming back and buying a top 6 club in the future. The like about better opportunities says it all.
If they insisted that Staveley and Co put the state down as director then they are effectively asking them to break Company Law rules. My take is that they could not fail the directors of PIF, had pressure put on them by BEin and Gary Hoffman became involved. They insisted that the state be named as director, knowing well that was simply not possible. Led to the impasse. I'd align it to Wednesbury Unreasonableness.
They'll be back to buy Chelsea or Man united and when it happens they'll just put out stories about how they addresses the issues to satisfy the premier league....
