I do love when American politicians (on both sides) appear on British TV, they always end up looking like complete sociopaths while the presenters just look on in utter contempt and hilarity. It's great.

Their idea of left and right is really extreme, too. To them, the left is just communism and the right is centre. If they were in the UK, the Democrat party would almost be centre right and the Republicans would be much further right.

Which again, makes it amusing when they say Joe Biden is a socialist.

My boss & I had a week-long project in Atlanta about 25 years ago. There were some great bars with live music, which in all honesty, were exceedingly enjoyable on business expenses :emoticon-0100-smile

Edit: Bloody hell, it's more like 45 years rather than 25 <doh> Senility hovers.:embarrassed:

And there's another thread title,
'The realisation that your getting old' ...

Seriously though, how the **** is this still going?

If we weren't in lockdown, it might've been worth sending over the lads and lasses of Sunderland to show them how to count.

Funny how views can differ. My cousin's wife died when fairly young and in time he met an American girl.Didn't know at the time but she was very well off, owned an art gallery, apartment in New York, house in Vermont, another on Sanibel Island. Chalk and cheese, he is a down to earth Yorkshireman with accent to match who is a brickie by trade, she is artistic.Has travelled all over with her to exhibitions. Last time I spoke to him he was telling me all the places he had been to and he said the only one he wouldn't want to go back to was Atlanta. Remiss of me not to ask him why.

The heat and humidity??

The heat and humidity??

No, he has been to hotter, more humid places than that. He spends part of the year sweltering in a New York summer and another good part of it in their place on Sanibel Island in Florida. He has worked on building sites most of his life so things like that don't bother him.

If Trump did theoretically run away before he could be arrested, he'd likely go to Scotland, wouldn't he?

Why will he be arrested? He could always push legislation through like Putin has which will make him a senator for life and therefore immune from prosecution under Russian law.

A very high level of violence - has been the top of the league table a number of times.
