My fears concerning the Irish easing off haven't been realised.
Fair play to the Irish, they've kept the French honest till the end.

The French are a real force to be reckoned with again.
Yes, they can go forward like lightning, and their handling is excellent at times. They still make naive mistakes around the edges, but for work in progress, their coach must be delighted
This may be construed as needlessly grumpy, but I really don’t like the metal poppy/Premier League club combo badge.
Why the poppy has to be welded to (say) a Chelsea badge God to only knows. I’m sure most clubs can lay claim to a player that laid down his life for country and, presumably, attaching a footie club to a the poppy increases sales amongst Neanderthal fans that put their club support ahead of wartime valour, but...

I see Jonah Lumley was unable to save Gillingham from a home defeat by Sunderland yesterday

No need for a thousand appologies, one will suffice. I was simply viewing it as "needlessly grumpy", as you intimated.
I'd like to think that all proceeds go to the British Legion but knowing the Premier League...

Perhaps it a witches curse on Lumley...any club he is with is cursed...hang on that don't work. He wasn't with us yesterday...but obviously I do blame him for the two penalties we conceded
