I’ve read some off the scale hypocrisy about this issue on SM. Red Men TV for example, discussed in the lead up to the derby how Robertson was going to ‘nail’ Rodriguez. Then during the game early on they’re cheering and laughing as Van Dijk goes through Rodriguez twice. Go ‘ed lad you’ve mashed his knackers there lad. Robertson deliberately kicks out at Allan on the back of his calf, not a word. Since the game, at least one of the leading RS social media accounts has openly condoned the idea of Pickford being ‘leathered’. There’s now been numerous threats to him and his wife on SM, plus racist abuse for Richarlison. Merseyside Police have called it out tonight and are now investigating those responsible. I don’t like to see any player injured, but unfortunately it happens, but the exact same people who’ve done the things I’ve listed above are crying their eyes out about this incident, chatting all kinds of wham about it whilst clutching their pearls, yet they’re complete ****ing hypocrites.
