I appreciate you may not know, or alternatively may not be able to say, but it seems to me like RAWA and the fanzines, even the local media etc have been extremely reluctant to continue the pressure against Donald and the rest since the last meeting where he basically blamed everybody but himself for the situation. Has there been a reluctance within RAWA to continue applying the pressure?

It also seems strange that the fanzines and especially the Echo have backed off so much. It felt like up to the time of the last fans meeting with the club that all media outlets were running more and more stories each turning the screw slightly more, but they then just stopped almost like they had been warned off.
Didn't Donald change his number so Barnes couldn't raise any follow up questions?

I usually take time to check, as best I can, any info I'm sent but f**k it, this is beyond tedious now so I'm just going to post everything as I get it.

I've just had an 'enraged' text saying SAFC 'supporting' this proposal is bluff and they won't vote for it unless they're sure it'll be defeated.

Donald really wants out, despite this current diversion, and thinks this is another way to push the buyers into paying his price.

There you go, I'm taking no responsibility for the message but it's from someone people on these forums would know and most respect.

(p.s. anyone else who sends me info needs to be warned I'm just posting it unless specifically asked not to.)
you and me both bonny lad, if the big clubs get their way, then that will be football finished.

Those comments from Rodwell are disgusting and borderline offensive.

"Not hurting anyone in a meaningful way"? How about a couple of years down the line when the premier league pull up the ladders of promotion. We are shooting ourselves in both feet here. Pretty much cementing us as a lower league club permanently.

These **** owners care not one jot about our club

And the sad thing is that our once great club will be consigned to the scrap heap by a ****ing insurance salesman. I would ask how he would feel about that but I really don’t think he cares about anything but his own pocket.
Probably done a distance learning Actuary degree through the University of Kampala so hes qualified in minimising the risk to himself. I hear you can pick them up for $45 and you don't have to do any work whatsoever. So a similar commitment to when he picked up Sunderland from Short.

Good for you Smug i think its time all this cloak and dagger **** stops and we get some meaningfull info

Tom Sloanes and Dave Jones were appointed to the SAFC board in December 2019...(voice of the fans etc)

Have they listened and acted on behalf of the fans..

No messages no updates nothing.. is it time we questioned their existence and their worth?

Disclaimer - I know Dave Jones heavily involved in recruitment..but what about the other sides of the business

This! The silence from the club is deafening!

Go on smug lad, they have been warned. Mind I don't think I want to hear some of @Guinness Guzzler 's secrets being divulged, even if he hasn't said you can't.

Shown themselves right up the clueless moron's, not fit to run a club the size of Sunderland

Project Big Picture been voted against outright in the last few minutes by all 20 Premier league clubs....possible bail out for only league 1&2 now......[HASHTAG]#takeoverbackon[/HASHTAG]

...wondering what the 'watered down version' will consist of?

more carrots to the EFL? (we already know most will grab any income they can) but will that affect the lowere leagues in the long run, i wonder, owners grabbing the cash boost and selling/legging it while they can show a clean set of figures.

hard enough now to compete after promotion, a smaller premier league just means (imho) a bigger cash gap.

IF a euro super league came about then it would need some handicaps to stop a monopoly and should such a league collapse (due to 'eating itself' through greed) then any teams from that league should have to prove themselves by starting from grass roots WITH the restrictions such teams are being forced to work with now (wage restrictions etc).

I suppose all you lads have heard of red herrings well you are going to hear a ****ing lot more before the top 6 clubs get what they wanted to start with and didn’t really want any of this ****e they are spouting now in the first place and believe it or not the little clubs are so stupid they will think they have won.

shine some light please @Prehab26 you had any new updates mate

Hello

I have said previously it was ongoing and the thoughts were that it was absolutely going to happen. Will on both sides. Things changed which has obviously caused a big issue. Just hope that can be ironed out. If not, I won't be back as I know itl be the Safc side that's too blame.

I said before, this is the last chance for me. If it doesn't happen this time, it will mean a disgustingly bleak future. It's rather incomprehensible TBH.

So a bigger carrot is needed?

There is no carrot worth the price. The big six already have an inordinate amount of influence, gorging more money from the game at every change. Them having free reign would be the death knell for the game for me.

If their threat is to leave and form a super league, then let them, but leave the league they are in. I wouldn't watch it if it was on at the field round the corner. The Champions League is bad enough, but at least it is a technically open competition. A super league would not be and I doubt many would watch it long term, if hardly at all. Every club would suffer, but the big six would suffer badly too, and I'd guess far more than they think.

It’s what we all expected from the fat ****. I am quite happy to participate in anything that rids this club of the hobbling inept ****er. He should be universally detested by Sunderland fans
