From four days ago in Stratford. Liam Williams defending his British Middleweight Title against Andrew Robinson.
Yes but whoever goes into the ring with him will need to keep out of his way. As with all flashy show offs, they come a cropper at some stage eg Prince Naseem
Hes not what I would call a flashy show off. His skills are stratospheric. He creates angles that nobody else can and that can look flashy. Naz never had a career like this guy.
There's no doubt that Loma's skill set is sublime, in the the 50 years I've been following the the sport, I've never seen anything like him. In saying that though, I'm not suggesting he's the greatest fighter off all time. For me that honour belongs to Ali. No heavyweight, before or since has managed to equal his grace in the ring. But Lomachenko is freakish. I, like probably everyone else, think that Lopez won't be able to match Loma when it comes to the volume of punches landed, but I think the young man is the harder puncher of the two and I have no doubt that he's going to come after the Ukrainian. My fear is that Loma, at 32, might be beginning to wear around the edges. He's only had the 14 pro fights, but when those 396 amateur fights are factored in, you end up with a very long career. I hope none of what I just wrote comes to nothing and he rips the younger man apart. I like Lopez, but I don't want the Loma show to de derailed. And to be honest, I think Lopez is a class above Luke Campbell, and will do a much better job on the weekend. He'll have the power and spite while Loma will have the sublime skills. Loma ... Loma ... Loma.
Apparently, Teofimo's dad is a bit of a dirt bag. It seems that he was drunk and started talking trash and had to dragged away.
Every king is derailed one day. This isnt the day in my opinion The betting on the fight reflects what I think the outcome will be-Loma 1/3. Lopez-100-30
For the first time in a long time, maybe even ever, people are casting doubt on Loma. I think he'll thrive on it. I only see one outcome. I rate Lopez very highly, i really do. I think he's a very talented fighter and without a doubt deserves this fight but i don't think its stretch to say that Loma is quite possible one of the best boxers to have ever stepped foot in the ring. I've been looking forward to this one for a while so i hope it lives up to the hype in my own head. I won't be betting on it. May the best man win.
Yeh he may well be up there with the best. He isnt yet for me until he defeats all comers for the next couple of years.
Watch the excitement on Loma's face and the glint in his eye when Lopez asks. "We gonna do this now?" And Lopez's almost submissive attitude after stating it was a bit of a surprise.
Ohhhh yes. Loma and Lopez duck under the spacer divides that was supposed to keep the fighters separated during the face off. Loma means business. Lopez didn't look comfortable. People are suggesting that Lopez might be around 150 pounds after rehydration.
Any way of watching this without paying? Edit: Apparently some bookies will show a stream if you place a bet, but haven't managed to find one. And as it's on at 3am ...... I'll pass!
The super middleweight youngster Edgar Burlanga stepped into the ring against the journeyman Lanell Bellows. Burlanga took a record of 14-0 into the fight. All wins came by stoppage in the first round.
