If they change the top 6 veto to a top 9 veto then IMO the good things in the plan then vastly outweigh the bad
Lots seem to be quite upset by this.
The little Clubs are broke.
Prem clubs want to save them.
But somehow the game is gonna die/vanish because of it.
As long as its on TV I don't mind.

So what's the alternative?You must be a con-mans dream.
They haven't ruled it out mind.. They've just said they don't like the idea while dating trying to find solutions and aren't happy they've been grassed up.
That's how I read the statement anyway.
So what's the alternative?
No prem Money for the small clubs and they go under anyway?
I dunno mate but that sounds a lot more fair.It surely is possible to do that without the power grab of the top 6 running the league though?

End of the day why does the prem have to bail out the lower league clubs? They don't imo so this gesture of goodwill should be welcomed by supporters of those clubs rather than looked at with paranoia and let's have it right... jealousy.
It's not paranoia and jealousy it's clearly anti-competitive. Why should the top 6 get a say on who owns Newcastle or Southampton?
Giving 6 clubs such power is a terrible thing all round, and is just making it even more of a closed shop than what it already is with financial regulations that are in place.

It's being used for special effects, aka bait![]()

A quick reminder that a few years ago Liverpool were on the brink of complete financial collapse and would be in the exact same spot as some of these lower league clubs.
What would the reaction be then?
Imagine if the top 3 of Chelsea, United and Arsenal had veto'd the Liverpool takeover![]()
Well its like a private gentlemans club init, you think the league would benefit from another oil club or Abramovich? And although I don't agree with the top 6 having all the power, that's not really my issue. It's not paranoia and jealousy it's clearly anti-competitive. Don't see any way that 9 clubs getting votes instead of 20 can be seen as more fair.
Sulky probably hasn't even read it as he doesn't like football![]()

My point is youve got lower league teams getting a much needed handout from the prem. Take it, say thanks and Stfu imo, ungrateful ****s.
