I think that’s massively understated. Henderson is one of the best in the world in that position. He’s had to probably work 10 times harder than most to get the recognition he deserves (still doesn’t imo) probably due to coming from us.

There’s maybe only city in the pl where a fully fit Henderson doesn’t start every week. Would love him to just end his career here with us like Leadbitter is

I had a friendly (beer) bet with my mate who is a season ticket holder. He said “he’ll never make a footballer as long as I have a hole in my arse”. I said yes captain England. One night in the beer courtesy of my mate!!

He was a bit inconsistent when he was here but you could see the leadership.

I will never forget the Wigan game when he dragged us almost single handed to the win, people say he wasn’t rated but £20million plus for a young lad in those days was like about £60 million today.

We knew we had a player, we maybe just didn’t appreciate it enough, I include myself in that.
