Enrique Tarrio says he is brown or a person of colour. It is some leap to describe him as white, and would only be achieved by those who are ignorant/stupid or have an agenda. The proud boys are a oddball group of patriotic nationalists from differing backgrounds and races.

Meanwhile Antifa and BLM. Antifa and BLM have been rioting for months, riots that have led to multiple deaths in America. No focus on Mr Trumps words about them.

He is quoted on most USA media outlets as being Afro Cuban. As do most people of black Cuban descent.

But I am sure calling him white fits the left wing agenda/narrative better.

This is hilarious, people can identify as what gender they like or do not like but apparently there is now a committee somewhere that can decide a persons cultural/ethnic group. To be honest it is not hilarious it is almost certainly racist to call him white (he certainly doesn't look white, I am actually surprised that the left has not dubbed him to be a coconut) I wouldn't mind a wager that somewhere in the U S of A there is similar Afro Cuban member of BLM, who would be rightfully offended if he was called white.

The hypocrisy yet again is off the scale.

What I have struggled to understand since I was a kid is ‘why the fk does it matter’?
In my primary school there was one mixed race kid and his sister. All the rest of us were white. There were no Asians at all. This kid (who looked black) was one of the most popular kids in my year and everyone loved him. The only time his colour was ever referenced was for description purposes ‘he’s the black kid over there.....’.
His skin colour was just like having blonde or ginger hair - just something to enable him to be recognised.
likewise even now as an adult of 53 I still fail to see why being a colour is of any importance other than for description.
When she was at primary school, my eldest daughter came home one day and asked me why one of her classmates had black skin. I replied with a question: ‘what colour is your skin?’ ‘White’ she replied. Ok I said and what about your hair? Blonde was the answer. I then asked her what her best mates hair colour was - black. And her other mate? Ginger. What colour are their eyes? Brown and green respectively. Her eyes are blue.
Once this had been said, I told her; some people have white skin, others dark - just like some have blonde hair and others dark - and some have brown eyes and others green or blue. It’s what makes us different from each other and special as individuals.
‘Ok’ she said, quite satisfied - and ran off to play.

That’s how I handled it as a young parent of 24!!!!

Sadly it apparently matters because some people have decreed that it matters, because also apparently they have decreed that to say 'all lives matter' is offensive to black people, as J K Rowling found to her cost telling the truth that 'women mensurate' is not even allowable because 'people' that have decreed it so.

It has become like the scene from Monty Python's the life of Brian, where Stan wants to have babies.

I never had any one during my educational years that were not the same as me colourwise or foreign my kids were in the late 60's in classes of different races / colours but only about 2 or 3 of them. They and us as parents had no issues. YOUR POST HAS GOT ME THINKING when did all this **** hit the fan? Happily worked with West Indians from 60's onward, kids mixed /played and daughter even went out with one for a month. even up to 2000 worked with non white peeps ...
mind you all this BLM is starting to erode my respect for certain individuals ... think I mentioned it, a neighbour apologised for the riots and BLM antics and lack of respect for our history ....

Do some research on ANTIFA and drugs, they are the same coin, one is heads and one is tails and both resort to violence to get their point across.

One side calls the other side fascists and then act like fascists, with the added Nazi spice of anti semitism.

Maybe because historically the far left has been responsible for far more deaths than the far right, both are abhorrent, but I suspect one side knows that and the other claims to be freedom fighters.

The BBC is still the most trustworthy place to get your news.

I'm not particularly right or left wing (in fact I'm appalled by the extremes of both) - the bottom line is that everyone should be equal and deserves to be treated as such. In the States Mr Trump fuels the fire rather than trying to find proper solutions.

Celebrating slavery how so? maybe it was celebrating his charitable works?

Of course they oppose slavery now, everybody does apart from those still involved in it. It's all about heritage and the heritage of the Guardian is a disgrace, 30 years after slavery was abolished in the UK the Guardian actively campaigned against Abraham Lincoln and against the abolishing of slavery in the USA, but is allowed a free pass by the revisionists, I wonder why?.

The Proud Boys are odd. It's a patriotic drinking club with behaviours you can associate with masculine rugby clubs. Frequently harmless bawdy fun.

Occasionally their antics cab be violent but many events are designed to infuriate the intolerant left.

It's not fascist or supremacist. A half wit can see this no matter how many times those with agendas paint that picture.
