If we don't sign a decent striker the kind who scores at least one in three, and that doesn't look likely, I can't see us going up. Most teams will have more pace than us, and most will have at least one forward better than anyone we have.

We all know this, so how there has been no attempt to find some pace or a decent foward or both tells us a lot about everyone involved in the running of the club.

Some of the players picked yesterday have had chance after chance, Wyke is the prime example but there are two or three others.

So with no money for new signings what do you suggest we do?

Clearly we are lacking up front, and I'm not keen on the goal keeper either, but if there's no money to be spent, there's little choice but to play players that are not quite up to it.

The hope is one of the strikers come good and the defence are good enough to protect the keeper.

With the weaknesses quite clear, the good start to the season looks even better.

He took Bolton up and their top scorers had 9 goals each. The boring twat doesn't need a goalscorer <laugh>

I have repeatedly stated what alternatives I would like to see. You are happy with the slow, boring, toothless teams that Parky selects, I'm not, end of story.

Never said I was happy with the football being played.

I'm happy with the results with limited quality, resources and an absent owner.

Do you have any suggestions to improve it then from the resources available.

At this moment in time, from a points perspective I don't think it needs improving.

The football itself isn't great, although the second half v Bristol rovers was decent IMO.

The football under Parkinson won't change whatever the playing personnel you bring in.

So for me, if the results are good enough for a promotion challenge, I don't see any reason to improve it.

We are in league 1, so we will attract league 1 managers, especially under this regime. Weve got PP who's been successful in league 1. Hes sorted the defence and made a good start to the season.

I don't see the need for negatives, I really don't.

What negatives.

Last season Coventry finished with 48 goals the same as we did, do you really need a 1 in 3 striker. Keep it tight at the back and you can win games with only scoring 1 or 2 a game.

Has this been stated anywhere?

Well maybe. Mind, I'd be happy with a one in four forward!
