Noticed that Alex Scott got a load of abuse for being the new host of question of sport, loads of people on social media saying how unqualified the former England footballer, who has been on the screen for the last few years doing punditry and who has a BA in Professional Sports Writing and Broadcasting... oh hang on. It's almost as though these people know nothing about her...
She might of been on the screen for a few years Wills, but that doesn’t necessarily make her any good. Being a pundit or presenter has nothing to do with qualifications....you have to have a bit of character. Love him or hate him, someone like Chris Kamara has got character, same with Lineker....I can’t stand the bloke personally but he comes across very well on TV. Saying that, I’d rather be seeing Alex Scott over Sue Barker
Oh she might be terrible ... however as they are looking to freshen up the show with new faces, her CV is pretty comprehensive and for people on social media to suggest otherwise is bollocks. Kamara is a ****ing legend, he is responsible for some of the best moments ever on TV. When he didn't know that player was sent off ... comedy gold
I don’t think it’s anything more than people disliking change. Can’t say I’ve seen much of her punditry on football matches so really can’t say how she comes over. There’s a scouse women footballer who is ****ing awful......and then you’ve got Bianca Westwood who comes over really well. Agree about Kamara......the sort of bloke who’d I’d gladly share a pint with and know I’d have a great laugh
To be honest for me she comes across a little bland, but mine is just one view and I expect she has had screen tests and they really liked her. Kammy and Stelling are for me the only two vitals on sky sports, both extremely likable, the rest I probably wouldn't notice if they were gone
Just wondering lads what this discussion about female pundits is doing in the thread, a very pertinent thread, about "taking the knee". Have we lost our way a bit
One of the best bits of TV I've ever seen is Kammy doing a curry challenge with Neil Ruddock for Soccer AM - I wish it was on YouTube, it's hilarious
