U21 lineup tonight is very much an U21 side.

Watford one up against 'Boro at HT tonight. Howson at the centre of everything for 'Boro, but the game is poor with the ball in the air a lot of the time. The goal came from a corner. Where's the Chairman's nephew when you need him?

Jamal Lewis played the full 90 mins this evening as Newcastle beat West Ham 2:0. Reports say he put in several good crosses from which Calum Wilson narrowly failed to score.

From the BBC report:
"Lewis, 22, looked solid in defence and got forward at every opportunity, creating two first-half chances for Wilson with pinpoint crosses to the near post. Providing an outlet on the left, the young full-back had the second most touches and covered the most ground of any Newcastle player."

I am feeling a bit better about our short stint in the PL today

Baggies are getting thumped by Everton following a 3-0 loss at home to Leicester last week.
Fulham had a bad home defeat last week and have a tough game ahead at Leeds today

That said, it makes me worry about any future promotion - the gap looks bigger and bigger

Well, Fulham were tonked by the rejuvenated Arsenal, and West Brom are being tonked by a team managed by a Champions League winner, owned by a close associate of Asimir Usmanov (who wanted to take over Arsenal until the government started looking into Russian money) and have been among the biggest transfer spenders over the last two years. The gap with those teams may have grown bigger but not with the Burnleys, West Hams, Brightons and Palaces etc. Sheffield Utd and Villa both managed to survive and now have money to strengthen.
