Good performance by the sound of it. High intensity play, McGovern cool in goal and Palace shut out by a well organised defence.

 

Two 18 year-olds at CB for the under-23's in Omobamidele, who was captain, and Tomkinson.

 

Two other players we may see more of soon:

That "wonderfully weighted cross" over the Palace defence sounds like the crosses Xavi Quintilla has been putting in recently. The recipient, Hondermarck, seems to be scoring regularly for a midfielder.

 

I've never heard of Vaughn. Just looked him up and he, too, is only 18. Hondo is 19 and seems like he's been around awhile.

 

Tyrese Omotoye is also only 18. Composed.

 

Early days for all of them, but Hondermarck does seem to be performing consistently.

Finished 3-3. Nice while it lasted, but that 1 point lifts them above Burnley, West Ham, Sheffield United and Fulham who are all pointless.
