It's Sunday,no gardening,no diy,no car to wash,no visitors, nothing to watch on tv (except sport) I'm dreading another lockdown
Under-23s 1:0 Crystal Palace at HT at Colney. Guess who's playing -- Moritz L (lot of love for him on the Academy Twitter stream).
Drmic adds a second in the 81st minute. City U23s 2:0 Palace U23s. 3 Seniors in the team, Drmic, Leitner, McGovern.
U23s match report here: https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2020/september/u23s-match-report-v-crystal-palace-25-09-20/ Good performance by the sound of it. High intensity play, McGovern cool in goal and Palace shut out by a well organised defence.
Two other players we may see more of soon: "Either way, the young Canaries wouldn’t have to wait long for the opener. Right-back Ethen Vaughan delivered in a wonderfully weighted cross, the Palace defensive line unable to get up to it. The ball then fell to William Hondermarck at the back post, who tucked it away from close-range for City’s goal." That "wonderfully weighted cross" over the Palace defence sounds like the crosses Xavi Quintilla has been putting in recently. The recipient, Hondermarck, seems to be scoring regularly for a midfielder.
I've never heard of Vaughn. Just looked him up and he, too, is only 18. Hondo is 19 and seems like he's been around awhile.
Bradders scores 2 long range goals in 11th and 15th minute. I am also a admirer of this players scoring ability.
Finished 3-3. Nice while it lasted, but that 1 point lifts them above Burnley, West Ham, Sheffield United and Fulham who are all pointless.
I have been saying the same for years but there is one name missing from the list, but they have become irrelevant to any football discussion these days
