And the amount of labs capable of doing the tests, who's fault is that?

We need to get people back to work as a number one priority, i was furloughed for 8 weeks because custom fell off, when called back i didn't take (or ask for) a test because i had no reason to.
If you have no symptoms then don't waste resources (and peoples time) by going for tests.
ive still not had a test, despite working about 28k hours with press ganged workers dragged of the streets.

I haven't had a test either despite visiting anything between 1 and 6 sites per day and mixing with many people.
Why, because i have not felt the need for one. If i get symptoms then the game changes and i will actively seek a test.
Too many people are going for tests out of curiosity or fear and clogging a limited system which was never prepared for ****ers under any government.

You appear to have missed the point of my post.
If someone recieves a test and trace call telling them to quarantine they could end up with no money for two weeks (if they are self employed) or only get the statutory sick pay of just £94 per week...in those cases I think it is very understandable for them to take a test.

We were told it was a "world class (testing) system" that was able to cope but it clearly can not.

Sorry but where are the stats to back this up?

All I am saying is that there will be a large number of casual workers, self employed and non unionised workers who will face serious financisl hardship if they are forced to live on £95per week for 2 weeks.

It would have no financial effect on me (thank ****) but I can imagine how stressed out I would be it I was to lose nearly £300 a week for 2 weeks.

My only point is that there are a lot in that position and I think it is rough to have a go at them for tskjng a test jn order to be able to continue working.

Who needs a test in order to continue working?
Are people/companies asking for proof of a negative test before you are allowed to work now?

Maybe the amount of positive tests against the actual tests done could back it up?

Again...people losing wages are going to take tests to prove they are fit to work rather than lose hundreds of pounds.
Those people are taking tests to financially survive.

The only other options they have are to face severe financial hardship for no reason or to ignore the track and trace call.

Therefore these negative results they give are not from those "taking tests for curiosity or fear" as you said.
The testing system should be able to cope with it because it is supposed to be world class.

Yes...if someone gets a test and trace call they can not go to work unless I have isolated for two weeks or have recieved a negative test.

Who are they proving they are fit to work to and why are they having to prove it?

So every week you have to show up with proof of a negative test?

**** me, it's no wonder the system can't cope <laugh>

I get a temp test at quite a few companies, usually the raygun to the head but one place has a cool one, you place your wrist at the side of it and a sexy female robot voice say's "you are clear to enter" <laugh>

So given the fact i keep hearing how **** the government have handled this it won't be very many then?

Test and tracking claim to be contacting thousand every day...

The last figures I have seen was for 27th August to 2nd Sept 2020 where they claim to have contacted 35,700 people.
They have claimed that this number is going up each week so it will be well over 140,000 people at least in the past 4 weeks.
