I think Spurs saw the best of Bale even though he has tons of Real medals,I really do.

Will always believe that Madrid signed Bale too soon, while CR7
and the club cult around him was still in its prime.

The boy got his medals, some moments of on-pitch glory, and loadsa
filthy lucre. None of which I begrudge.

All I hope now is the full term of his time there will be financially
pyrrhic overall to that club.

Didn't Minter have a general problem with getting cuts quite
easily (a plight that some boxers are fated to suffer from) ??

So did "Our 'Enery!" I have a couple of photos of Henry standing over an unconcious M.Ali. Unfortunately the bell went, they dragged Ali to his corner, cut his glove to give him time to recover......then proceeded to stay away from 'Enery's 'Ammer and cutting Henry's eye and stopping the fight. A few more seconds on that bell and.....we would have had a different M.Ali story!!!!

If anyone has 36 minutes this is what's really going on.

IMHO the best thing this country could do is open every football ground tomorrow. Having a lock down and wearing a mask is likely to cause a second wave.

It's a bad day - now reading that Alan Minter has passed too , not a huge a boxing fan but recall watching Minter when boxing was on BBC and always liked him

RIP
I used to drink in the Linden Club in Waterloo Street in Hove, it was in a basement and owned by Alan's father in the days before all day opening. Almost every dodgy criminal, knocker-boy, prostitute and drug dealer in Hove used the place. It was a den of iniquity.

The place was like a shrine to Alan Minter with photos, belts medals etc. His old man thought he could fight as well as his son but he couldn't, he always had a pair of black eyes.

When was that game? Looks like a lot of fans are in the stadium
KV Mechelen against KV Oostende yesterday. Oostende went on to score a 95th minute winner, too. Ouch.
Belgium have started letting fans attend the games this week. It's a limited capacity, depending on the team.
