Looks as if the 'ammers' are back on form, struggling.
JB substituted. Mark Noble kicking off.
    Happy campers.

    Haha
That’s because you’re still using the same clubs you had at junior school!

If you're into the history of golf - this is a good read.

    https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1356322.A_Wee_Nip_at_the_19th_Hole

According to my mother (RIP) - one of her great uncles on her father's side was a caddy @ St.Andrews and won one of the earliest British Opens. His photo in said book bears an uncanny resemblance to my maternal grandfather. My mother was occasionally prone to spinning a yarn & I have not yet proved the provenance of the tale. It did however take prominance in a speech at her funeral 20 odd years ago.
I still have a couple of clubs that belonged to my maternal grandfather and a couple of trophy's won by my paternal grandfather. Must have both been decent larkers - unlike myself - reasonable hacker. :emoticon-0106-cryin

When I spot them at garage sales or in certain antique stores, I pick up the odd club for my collection. They are not easy to play a round with !

I never got to play St Andrews whilst living north of the border, I walked it a few times watching tournaments. I played most of the well-known courses in Scotland, but sadly never got the chance to play there.
