Why good riddance?
The kid did OK in a poor side. He wants to progress his career, the same as we all do at work.
Loyalty is for supporters, not players. I want players to be committed, professional and hard working, not badge kissers.
Leo has been honest, he could have stayed, probably played every game ("like a son") taken his salary..... Others have.
I say its a shame he's had to move on, but that's football.
A committed, hard-working professional wouldn't swap shirts and have a laugh after an 8-0 drubbing from Wigan.

£1.5m would be good business compared to the likely benefits of keeping him. I like him, but I don't think he would make the difference for us this season.
Yeah. probably mostly held back against unexpected trading losses due to Covid as the Bowen money is already covered by the interest.
A bit cynical but I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong and we spunk a million on a recognised striker.

Just cos someone once played well it doesn't stop you from criticising them. Though obviously you think criticism should be outlawed...
His head had been turned once they came back from lockdown, he looked completely bored and not arsed whatsoever. He wasn't the only one, but considering how good he was prior to lockdown, and his behaviour upon returning... good ****ing riddance.
Think we where offered a pinch of salt but got them up to a full saxo tub in the end.
Agreed. The lack of heart in the first half of the season and then the shirt swapping thing just booted him out of my circle of trust.
He didn't have to move on he played, or wouldn't play for a transfer. He hasn't been honest at all. Good riddance.
Mistakes are fine, his decisions to frequently take his foot off the gas since the restart were unacceptable. In his head he was already gone.

We live in a world where people can do things that are good, and then **** them up.
Jimmy Saville, for example, raised millions for charity. But was also a massive ****ing nonce. Sometimes, people do things that mark them as unforgivable.
He started well and helped out at fullback when asked, buy his last 6 games made him look very poor. He was bot up for the fight when required. He might have a great future but he did not want to stay, and has not imo made the right choice for his own career. I am going to call it as a good call for the club.
It was his former club.. I don't really get the hate. He's young, was a bit naive to do it where the cameras are but if you think a lot of players don't do the same with mates in the opposition regardless of the result I think that's a bit naive in itself, most just have the sense to do it away from the cameras.
Is doing it in the open so much more a hangable offence? I'm not sure.
Was a great player for us, grafted at RB when required even though it clearly wasn't his best position, and had a lot of talent. I'm sorry to see him go.
Personally, I don't feel the same anger others seem to be feeling. He was obviously looking to play at a higher level, and Club Brugge is certainly that and with a salary no doubt to match.
However, whether it proves to be a good move for him remains to be seen, I would have thought his experience at Wigan whereby he got very little game time might have made him wary of making this jump, but I guess only TWT.
