I'm happy with it too. One thing I was thinking though after Klopp gave his interview today about not being owned by a country etc. and "we are a different kind of club " was that last time he made a remark like that about not spending huge amounts on players we almost immediately bought Virgil and AlissonThinking about our transfer business not just in this or the last window, but as a whole since klopp took over, I think we can all agree its been excellent, weve consistently signed players, we are always bringing players in, but more importantly there is a point to the signings. Very much quality over quantity.
Now if you compare it to under rafa, houllier etc , transfer windows where certainly more exciting, but it was scatter gun. Wed sign 4 or 5 players, get really excited about how good they would be and a couple of months on they would been shown as not fitting together, not good enough.
We needed left back cover desperately, we signed the Greek. We needed right back cover, lucky a youth prospect stepped up.
We no longer buy a player just because he looks good in another team, he must be able to fit in ours!
Long winded way to say I'm happy woth our transfer policy really.

I'm not like a lot of fans who appear to think that we're stagnating if we're not buying established players on a regular basis. Klopp has taken a group of varying talent and experience and made a world-class team out of them. As a Liverpool fan I want to see us continue at this level, but also as a football fan I'm interested to see if he can keep developing them in the same way, rather than go shopping with a blank cheque every window.I'm not fussed on how much a player costs, as robertson has shown, its not the price tag its the foresight to see the ability.
Klopp knows what we need and what he wants, in all honesty I think if he really wanted werner, he'd be pulling on a red shirt on Saturday. Something queered the deal, I doubt we'll ever know what.
We've got a very strong first 11, the second string is pushing on now. Options are starting to become available.
Another funny thing is we've constantly evolved as a team, our style of play changes year on year. The signings we make often facilitate the change, so signing a like for like replacement is often the wrong idea, we are looking for someone who offers something we don't already have cough Thiago cough.

The only thing that bothers me a little is whether or not we have enough strength in depth to cope with a rash of injuries, but then that's part of seeing just what he can do.
After more than half a century of following our club, including its most successful period, I can say that these are probably the most intriguing and compelling times I've seen.
Klopp has redefined what a top class manager is, to be apart of what he's achieved is nothing short of miraculous. Yes he's spent money when needed, actually I can only think of vvd that's he bought ready made.
Hes built possibly the best side in the world, using a mixture of astute acquisition, tactical awareness and unbelievable team and man management.
Its so far removed from the Chelsea and City blueprint if buying an absolute ****liad of players at ridiculous prices, I still think we struggle to see how he's done it and continue to do it.

Why El-Hadji Diouf was hated by all at LiverpoolSo you didn't rate El Hadji Diouf then?![]()
