Yes, if you wanted to watch 2 different channels at the same time, I guess.
I've read that Sky and BT are both very happy to show the extra matches. But they don't want a repeat of them being free-to-air - and certainly not on terrestrial TV like BBC.
£70 is a steal for what you get. Not just sport but just about every TV channel worldwide, plus thousands of on-demand films and TV series. Even a catch-up section for watching Sky Cinema stuff. If you have an Android TV, the app loads directly, or if not, get a Fire TV stick and load it there. In terms of reliability, sometimes Sky block their live stuff but very rarely, and you can always get there by another route anyway. You don’t need a VPN for foreign channels either.
As I said above, you can also pay £120 for Multiroom, which allows you to watch different things on TV/laptop/tablet at the same time.
I usually check out live broadcast schedules for Bein Sports and Supersport, as options for Saints matches, so if the BT or Sky channel becomes iffy, I switch. To speed up the switch I also pre-load the channels into my Favourites, for the day, then remove them ready for the next time, as the channel varies.
This will be my 3rd year with them.....never failed to get a stream yet.
But you get a lot more than just football, all sky movies,documentaries etc.
On saints player they have the premier league zone with all games in there(no need to go hunting) plus the commentaries are usually in English.
Yeah, I go there too, but sometimes, probably my internet, I get sticky streams and look for the one that sticks the least.
Having said that, and touch wood, the newer version which comes with VPN, seems very, very stable, even on my tv.
Newcastle seem to be signing Bournemouth.
Plus Foden will have to isolate, so 3 missing for their opening fixture.
Is it not 14 days quarantine? So they wouldn’t be able to train with teammates.
That assumes they aren’t ill....don’t wish it on anyone, but chances are that a player or two will be taken ill. And it can be very debilitating.
Which is why the binary thought of "dead or not dead" is so dangerous.
