I think you’ll have a few people saying that over the next few weeks, I believe the next time we’ll here something from the club is when it’s official on safc, soon hopefully we’ll all be ecstatic,
Hope so mate

With Ross there was manager who was on the start of his career and the way he galvanised the team at the start of the 1st season in spite of the behind scenes rubbish that he had what it takes like all careers the progression is never straight line and from Christmas onwards he was contending with Donald and his Ego and thinking he could make his quick buck in 9 months rather than sticking to a 2 year plan which was more realistic. Its likely that Ross was the better manager, but Donald making him take on Grigg then to concentrate on the tin pot cup..fcuked things up! I also wonder if it was Donald who delayed giving Maja a new contract...then it became too late when he decided he wanted away
What was the update yesterday mate? Read through the last, read through the last dozen pages but must have missed itKnowing the type of person Donald is, he would absolutely love it if this Chris is made to look daft and something happens while he is saying nothing is going on at all.
If this is all made up, which I very much doubt, with the update yesterday it has become an elaborate lie. And also if it was made up tony davison’s comment makes no sense at all.
Barnes was on the radio and basically said there had been a delay in sorting out covid contingency plans so hoping to now have it done by end of September. He also said the next step would be to take the deal to the EFL which would be happening very soon and that and final legal work all that remains and shouldn’t be a problem. He sounded very confident on it happening. What was the update yesterday mate? Read through the last, read through the last dozen pages but must have missed it
Morning everyone, long time observer of both forums but finally had the urge to finally post on this forum... Better group of people, better atmosphere and more reliable info

Sombs chuffed to bits at the minute he can walk around with his Sunderland top on and his mask and nobody recognises him.

It’s strange that Chris Wetherspoon is continuing to say there is no takeover and it’s all a ploy to kick the can down the road. It’s got to a point where both sides of the story are so far apart. It will be interesting to see who is wrong.
There's definitely conflicting info coming out of the club. I'd heard almost word for word what Chris Weatherspoon had heard, and from a very good source that absolutely wouldn't be making it up. But on the other hand I know how Prehab gets his info and know he will be 100% passing on what he's heard in good faith as well. I wasn't quite sure what was right and what wasn't, but when Barnes gave his update yesterday it was almost identical to what prehab had told me away from the board a few days ago, so I'm leaning towards that being the truth (and crossing everything that it is!)
When I was told things were pretty much no further forward I was told I could pass it on as long as it was general enough not to give the source away. So to expand on that (and still keep it general enough I think) I was basically told that a certain shareholder was the one passing the "positive" stories around. Basically this was to try and pressurise Donald into lowering his asking price because it is putting people off and is seen as unrealistic. Was told there is interest (from the same people who have been interested for ages) but they've got their valuation and Donald has his. So one who wants to sell puts out positive stuff knowing it'll ramp the pressure up on Donald as people will be even more angry if another season starts and he's still there.
If the person I've been told was putting positive stories out was also Prehab's source I'd be anxious but I'm certain he isn't. I think everyone has been passing on what they've heard in good faith but there are some games being played somewhere along the lines by the people involved. Like I say though, I'm starting to lean back towards thinking Prehab's sources will be accurate because he's hearing the same as Barnes so I'm hoping what I and Chris Weatherspoon heard was the inaccurate side of events. At least we seem to be in the end game as it was, if something is going to happen it'll likely be in the next few weeks so hopefully we'll all get some clarity soon.
Its early days mate...it was our first competitive game in 6 months they were bound to run out of steam after the way the lads pressed with O'Brien leading it....on another day we could have sealed the win in the first half. Let's be positive , I think with a good start on Saturday and the rest of September we will be a force to be reckoned with....How did we play well? Exactly like last season, commanded the game, cannot take our chances then on the back foot for last twenty minutes.
What did prehab say?
Along same lines of what Magnus had heard too?
Just hope we get rid of SD and not that Storey fella
Yeah, very similar to what Magnus has said.

Good unbiased post GG....There's definitely conflicting info coming out of the club. Yep. Like I say there's definitely games being played somewhere. What I'd heard (positive stories put out to try and pressurise Donald) makes sense. But there's an alternative which is that the positive stories are right, and the negative take is being put out to try as best as possible to keep things from being widely spread with any certainty. I know FPP weren't happy with how everything played out in public last time, so maybe that's a sign of them not wanting that to happen this time and wanting to get things done in privateHappy days then hopefully just a matter of time![]()
