I got to be honest here .. i thought as the game wore on there were signs of things slowly beginning to take shape .. the 3 new lads fitted in well and tbf to them they were probably the outstanding performers for us .. our top 3 look lightweight and powderpuff .. even Wilks who is built like a brick outhouse .. far too often they are easily dispossessed .. obvs Elder coming back will help solidify the defence (hopefully) as Flemming was caught out far too many times .. Ingram looked a 100% improvement on Long tbf so I'd stick with him. My fear is that the creativity still is nowhere to be seen .. whether that is personnel .. the system we play .. or a combination of both (my personal choice) remains to be seen. Small steps on the right direction .. but a long way to go for me.

Is grant the worse manager you’ve seen at city
Terry
Dolan
Molby (although he signed some of our best players and the way he wanted to play was good)
Or should I swap him with Parkinson...

ps I haven’t put terry Dolan 1st and second

Dowie
Dolan
Parkinson ( although he maybe would have been good if he didn't try to change to much to soon and force seasoned pros into things they didn't feel comfortable with )

Grant is probs takes it though

See above. Parkinson signed some great players. That moves him off the list of worst 3 which should include Dolan, Dowie and McCan’t

I thought Hateley was the worst, but McCant is simply the most clueless, boring, rambling person, who relies on cliches & soundbites to make himself seem like he know what he’s doing/talking about. His lack of movement on the touch line, no pointing things to players, no words of encouragement. No wonder we went down without a fight last season.
He has a lot of work to get the fans back onside this season!

All got to be pleased with any win, the forward line needs much more movement and aggression, Samuelson is 6ft but gets pushed over far to easy and is to weak, yes On a good day I can imagine him going past players easy but what I've seen of him then he's got to do a lot more. Eaves at this level did well last time out but again has to do a lot more, didn't hold the ball up well enough and has we all know the ball bounces off him. Wilks should be good at this level and got involved the longer the game went on but not enough from him. Young Potter we know he turns well and hopefully will become very good but at the moment for me the jury's out, he's still lightweight and today on a run away played a terrible pass to Wilks which would have and should have put him through on goal. A new Centre forward badly needed hopefully bringing a lot more movement to the forward line, if we get that and Scott is good at this level with Wilks alongside then I think we would have a decent chance but at the moment the forward line out today isn't good enough. Other than them moans it's nice to think we hung on in there matched them second half and got the win for a change.
Greetings from Sunderland. You lads will go up no problem this season. It's a very hard leauge and imo you need to get out of it before the rot sets in. look at us,We're now 3rd division mid to top half table plodders now. Good luck for the season.

Stats show a pretty miserable performance. One shot on target in 90 minutes? That by any standard is piss poor and a continuation of what we witnessed last season.

In Parkinson’s defence he signed some great players.
Parkinson without Williams was like Clough without Taylor. If Williams had come to city it may have been a different story for Parkinson. But overall he was dogtod.
Adam couldn't pick a decent boss, other than the other Peter Taylor.

Thanks, though I fear your optimism is misplaced. We have the clueless Grant McCann at the helm.

I believe it will be a very hard league to get out of, when you look at some of the club's who are in it and then you see a big club like yours still in it three years after going down then we know how difficult it's going to be. Has a club with bad ownership problems plus not having a lot of faith in the manger after seeing our team win just one of its last twenty games then the fans are understandably not overly optimistic. Watching today's game you should have been a couple up before half time but we're obviously pleased just to see us win a game. I do think a lot depends on who and how good our suposibly next couple of signings are going to be, we like many are in desperate need of a good centre forward. Despite some on here thinking we don't have much chance I actually think and hope we do although I wasn't overly impressed with us today. Too think it wasn't that long ago we were playing each other in the premier league so I think if we playing you in the championship next season we will both be happy especially if we have new owners.

It's a right basket case up here. we're in the middle of an apparent big money takeover but are currently under the ownership of... well I'm sure you may have seen Sunderland til I die. But as it stands our team isn't very good however I have tipped the tigers and an outsider to go up.
