They've been looking bad for at least eighteen months now Frankly they've been looking bad ever since PSG played them over Neymar
Havertz deal done for Chelsea, they're gonna be a real problem this season if Fat Frank gets it right.
Its hard to see the business done there and not think they will improve tbh, seems like all out attack it is Still think the keepers a big weak spot and the defence I'm not convinced about, a lot of new players to bed in so who knows, still think we'll win it with a gap but the chavs could finish 2nd with City behind them if it goes well.
Still waiting for the pundits to criticise the club for exploiting a global pandemic to shore up their position for a couple of seasons...
They’ve signed 7 and might go back for more. We all know from experience how difficult it is to bed in 7 players, nearly all from outside the league. Lots of talent there of course but it’s far from a foregone conclusion.
Well buying all the players should give Frankie a pen and pencil too....then like Pep,he can just put down 11 names from a hundred!
Yeh Frank's youth policy lasted about 5mins I was a bit annoyed when they got Pulisic when they did as I thought he could be a good understudy to Salah and Mane and a perfect age too. Looked a real gem at times last season for them Hopefully everyone they buy this window turns into morata overnight
Liverpool need to freshen their squad up or they won’t retain their title. You’ve basically had the same group of players for the last two seasons and been phenomenal in the league for the last 80 games, the same group of players can’t keep that up for a third season running without some help
I guess we'll see, we've got the lb cover we've craved for 3 years In the Greek lad tmiskas, minamino looks to have settled in finally after a difficult start he's training well and his goal in the charity shield will build his confidence more, we also have young Curtis Jones who will play lots this season same as neco Williams whenever trent needs a rest, up front I don't think we're getting anyone now as it looks like Brewster will stay until January, again the young French beast Billy kimento(spelling) it seems will deputise for Fabinho who will play as a 4th choice cb when required. Basically I think klopps showing faith in the youngsters he coached for the last few years to step up. And if they don't we can address that in Jan. The reports suggest Wijnaldum is off to Barca which I would guess opens up the door for us to get Thiago finally. So i reckon it'll be gini out and Thiago and possibly a cb in will be us for this window as no one seems to be offering anything for our fringe players like Wilson and grujic and shakiri.
I like Wiljnaldum but if you do sell him and get Thiago that’s a great bit of business. Thiago’s world class. Knew he was special in his early Barca days. We’re having trouble shifting our fringe as well, think most clubs will in this market tbh. Only one I see us eventually selling for a profit will be Foyth, think we’ll get about £15m for him when we paid £8m. Well take a small loss on Aurier I’d imagine, wouldn’t be surprised if we let Rose go for free if someone would take him. I hope we try selling Lamela too, like the guy as a player but he pretty guarantees to miss a third of a season every season, can’t be dealing with that.
Thiago would definitely help freshen up the team, is there no talk of anyone coming in that could challenge Mane, Salah or Firmino? I can’t see how that front three can play pretty much every game again next season
Thiago has pretty much said **** the PL, i'm off to Italy. When the big moment came and Thiago was asked if he had decided whether he wanted to wear the red of Manchester or Liverpool next season, he simply replied: 'Ciao'
Yep Makes a lot of sense too. The lad has had a brilliant career at Bayern and would be much better suited to a league where he won't be under constant pressure from a pack of wild dogs every time he has the ball.
