I really don’t get it as a signing for them. Surely for that money he’s a nice to have not a need to have. Would have thought that a commanding CB and decent LB would be far more pressing and valuable for them to drop c.40m on. Very good player but they can’t play Pogba, him and Fernandes together, there’s no solidity there and none of them can play wide to fit them in IMO.
If they do play them as a 3 they’ll be fun to watch at least even if they do leak goals.
