Still a sort of prologue tomorrow but sounds like the main business has been done. I'm not a legal type but my reading of all this is that Elliott has been sidelined (I live the bit where he didn't pay the pound he owed to Nimer - that was a neat saving fella). Saandatd can now conclude the details with Panorama. Nimer and Douthall get an undeserved paycheck and hopefully we get a decent committed owner. Who knows maybe the embsrgo goes by Friday and Bowyer/Gallen can sign some players. I won't rest easy just yet - the crooks may yet try and throw a spanner in the works. But today was one for the good guys. Let's celebrate.
I have been reliably informed that a lifer, two CAST members, and a recently banned member of ITTV,, have done some sterling work behind the scenes re the injunction and takeover. They don't desire praise or a seat in the directors box, just to know that they made a difference without threatening anyone or shouting on a forum. The results of these peoples hard work have apparently ruined celebrations for some F4F members. If your are more concerned about your forum profile than the future of the club, then you are not an Addick, and when you consider that only 6% of any fanbase actively post on football forums, that equates to 94% of fans not knowing and not really caring a hoot who you are or what you did. Mr Sandgaard is not a soft touch, and nobody's fool.
That should be on our honours board in the programme. '91? I went up there for this. I was keen then!
A clumsy gambit by Elliott to play the victim for the appeal court Judge. Only a bit less swivel-eyed than Farnell's gibbering testament about a month ago. Elliott is kidding absolutely nobody.
Yeah I agree with that summary. The letter is a bit OTT. I wonder how many interviews Elliott has declined.
Sounds very PR/Lawyer written to me.... he's playing for time.... My guess is that this will be presented at any appeal.
So Nimer/Southall have put sweet FA into the club, in fact, they've fleeced it to the bare bones. They managed to con Elliott into spending his money and keeping Charlton afloat for the last 4 months giving him the impression he has bought the club. Am I missing something here? How is Elliott the villain in all this?
