That's actually not true We lost willems, lacelles and Clark at the same time. I suspect there's others
How about Van Dijk, TAA, Robertson and Salah ... that's about on a par in terms of importance to our team ... Our replacements were a 19 year old, a 22 year old from the U23s and a 36 year old (across the defence) and we had nobody with Maddison's attributes ... not many do mind ... Disappointing end, but only because of where we had got to with our excellent early season ... but we would have been delighted with top 6 at the start of the season, and no mistake.
True, but I'm simply saying the fact you provided seems to be innacurate. I just see 7th to 12 being a fair prediction You've got Liverpool, City, Chelsea, man united, arsenal, Tottenham, That's 6, Then you've got Wolves, Leicester, everton maybe saints Then the rest of the ****e
So Spurs and Arsenal who finished below us last season despite our disastrous end will automatically both finish above us because ... Spurs have signed Matt Doherty? PS in the last 5 seasons we have finished above both Spurs and Arsenal twice
No I'm just not ignoring the fact they're bigger clubs and the reality that worse sides than Leicester beat them last season.. I just see Leicester in the next group of clubs chasing the pack.. Tbf that pack consists of Everton who are historically a bigger club... Do you really think I'm innacrute on my assessment that you belong in competition with the likes of them and wolves who were also very good last season much like Leicester?
You got less points than us after the 9-0. You might get top half but doubt it'll be comfortable, especially with the Europa. All about Maddison for you probably, reckon Brenda will be found out.
Will be an interesting mix in the top 10 this season. Clubs who have money to spend will be looking at how to make the jump to the European spots and then to make the jump to a possible top 4. Leicester will be one of the 2-3 looking at top four again outside of Chelsea, City, United and Liverpool. Who would miss out to let a 'Leicester' in.....I would say....none looking at the business they have done/squad they have
That's a fair point, but if I put Leeds and Newcastle and Villa obviously ahead of you itd be being unrealistic. i don't think what I've said is unrealistic.
I agree ... but Top 6 again is where we will be aiming ... and rightly so. We have the League's reigning top scorer, one of it's best playmakers and we are strenghening the squad depth ... we finished 5th on merit ... so of course you look to improve or at the least maintain momentum
... and it's just as realistic to think that we will again finish above Spurs, Arsenal, Everton and Wolves ... particularly if we have better luck on the injury front
Well it depends if you pick out the bit you want and ignore the last 20 years You might be right but it's unlikely imo
sems the manager isn’t a mug. Gets them grafting and playing a bit. As always will invest well what they have.
Pretty much. The top four will be same as last season, but not in that order. Arsenal, Spurs, Everton, Wolves and Leicester are Europa League candidates and all the rest are relegation candidates.
Football is rarely comfortable ... but apart from the loss of Ben Chilwell, who had his critics, we are likely to be stronger in depth, and the young lads in the match day squad will have benefited from last season's experiences. I look at the squad we now have compared to what we were forced to watch during most of my 50 years supporting and the contrast is truly staggering - we used to go into games against the likes of the current Big 6 (and below) hoping for miracles ... we are now disappointed if we don't get a result Here's to the future ... with bags of optimism
