The lack of first team players due to international duty is a blessing and a curse. Lose a tricky away game and we can blame the number of absentees, but a win with some fringe players impressing would be great for confidence. It's a shame we can't continue to craft our first team into a cohesive unit though.
Hope we get through the game without any defensive injuries, a solid platform at the back this season would be a big bonus.

He doesn't have much choice this weekend! I think given the depth of the squad at the moment, there's going to be plenty of senior players missing out on league games, who will be using the cup to impress, but with a couple of youngsters given time too.
Looking beyond this weekend, in whichever cups we're still in, you could imagine the following side playing, which potentially contains no first team players:
McGovern
Byram Klose Zimmerman Quintilla
Sorensen Vrancic
Martin Stiepermann Placheta
Idah
Although international duty clashing with cups in future weeks might throw a spanner in the works.

Strange,but I thought a Matchday Thread was for specific matches on specific days.
You obviously believe otherwise.
If threads are to mean anything,surely some sort of common sense must prevail.
As you obviously don't give a toss,help yourself and post what you like,where you like.
No surprise there are fewer and fewer posters on here.
