You think the media is right-wing now?
They’re coming for the BBC ... again

Quotes from Andrew Cole one of the co-founders of GB News who want to launch a Fox type News Channel ...

the BBC is a “disgrace” that “is bad for Britain on so many levels” and “needs to be broken up”

the BBC was “possibly the most biased propaganda machine in the world”

This poster shows what the government are trying to ignore, in their push to return workers to the office, ie the benefits to the employees.
On the other side of the coin I listened to a radio phone in, and an office manager in London is now losing his job, as a direct result of working from home being successful, because his employer is closing down the office and saving £18000 per month in rent.
Difficult to see a way around this.

Oh my. Really Telegraph? I guess when you listen to the bile and bullshit he is pouring on to Biden, it is similar to the lies and bullshit that the Tories poured on Corbyn, so I can see why the Torygraph might think this.

I wonder what the headlines would have been, if he were black? I haven’t fact checked this, in case it is a hoax.

Why do I think of a "Bridge of Lies" when I read this load of old bollocks from the Telegraph.

My take on it is that Britain would be worse served by the re election of Trump. Although not a good businessman he will realise that after Brexit we will be a soft target and he will press home the advantage. I see the prospect being raised of a potential blockade of the Channel Tunnel by French fisherman if they don't get a favourable deal on fish. You can just see it. A load of fisherman turn up and block the access road. The gendarmes decide it's tine for a leisurely lunch.

It's pretty remarkable. He was illegally in possession of a gun, illegally took it across state lines, and according to his murder charge, was pointing his gun at people, which caused someone to lunge for it (because he was a danger), at which point he shot them dead. And then when people tried to stop him, he shot them, too.

And this makes him a hero.

I stopped reading the Grauniad because it had metamorphosed into "Spare Rib". I am now rapidly going off the Times which has slowly been transformed into a hybrid cross based on Women's Own and Cosmopolitan. I don't want female issues rammed down my throat on every page nor a constant stream of introspective articles written by women obsessed with themselves. I would read the Torygraph but my Mother would turn in her grave if she realised I had sunk to that very low level. I have now given up on newspapers and synthesise my news from the radio, TV and internet. The one bastion of balanced reporting left is the BBC and that is now under threat. I fear for the ill read, easily mislead, badly educated, and the ignorant.

You don't consider yourself among the ill read or the ignorant, I take it?

I can’t get my head around how the police allowed him to walk through the streets with a fecking rifle.
I think we all know that the ONLY reason he was allowed to do this is because of the colour of his skin.

There is a very big difference between being in favour of feminism and equal rights for ethnic minorities and coming to believe that it is being pushed to the disadvantage of the very cause it hopes to help. I have an ex partner who listens to LBC every morning and switches off when James O Brien comes on.

She knows my opinion that JOB is the most switched on radio host but his persistence on pushing causes that she doesn't support means that she just won't listen. I'm not sure what the answer to this is but what I am sure of is that we need the votes of people like her. She has never voted Tory in her life and when she has voted it's only been for Labour. Starmer appears to be getting through to her a bit because she has told me that she thinks he is a far better leader than Pfeffel. We must win the votes of people like this.

I am genuinely shocked that your friend, who has never voted Tory, won’t listen to JOB.
He so eloquently and passionately explains their ineptitude, I would have thought that he would be the one LBC host that she would listen to.
