Reaching thirty was the typical turning point in careers twenty years ago (who remembers Les Ferdinand moving to Spurs for £6m when he was thirty and the world was in shock?) but players regularly play well into their thirties nowadays. Later thirties depends on their playing style and how they've looked after themselves.
