It takes some explaining, how Cops shoot an individual SEVEN times. I find it hard when they shoot someone once, or kill anyone, via a choke hold, generally of late for a minor midemeanor.

Yeah I was just listening to the run down of his condition, it's a miracle he's still alive, spine shot through, colon gone, stomach, kidney shot through, he's got more holes in him than a sieve and he's still breathing.
If this happened in the UK, I'd be marching with the people, quite frankly it's disgusting. Christ almighty, what justification was there for shooting him seven times and in front of his kids!

I saw on CNN that the police union has said not to judge the video until you hear the full story (that they're still desperately trying to cobble together). And that full story will be 'He said he was going to his car to get a gun from his dashboard. He did you know, we all heard him (except all the non-police witnesses, of course).
Talking of CNN, they had an item on that couple that drew an assault rifle on unarmed BLM marchers, as they had the temerity to walk past their house. At first, they appeared on telly saying they fully agreed with BLM and endorsed their cause. Then someone from Trump's entourage got to them, and now they're appearing at the Republican conference denouncing BLM as Marxists all along.

I have to ask whether they would've shot the guy if he was white. In other words, is this a case of racism or is this a case of trigger happy cops who don't give a **** who you are, they are just triggered to shoot (pun intended) because they're a bunch of thugs in uniforms? I'm asking this with an open mind because I'm not sure. Something makes me think that it could quite easily be the latter.
Maybe it's because I'm old, maybe it's because I'm British! But with all these senseless black killings, I ask myself, what harmed would it have done, if the victims, criminals, defendents, whatever you want to call them, had escaped unharmed. None is the answer, absolutely none, with Floyd and Brooks in Atlanta, now this shooting, they were all minor misdemeanors weren't they!? Floyd a $20 dollar bill, Brooks asleep in a driv thru, under the influence, they were not major criminals, if they had escaped, they would have harmed no one. In my eyes, they've got to train these cops to stop pulling the trigger. If they escape, pick them up later, when things have calmed down, it's no biggy.
The level of institutional racism in the U.S. is there, no question about it, but I'd like to see the figures on deaths and injuries through police shootings and/or brutality to see what's what. The cases of George Floyd and this guy make the news. How many don't? And like you say it seems to be a wider problem where the action taken is disproportionate to the crime but also unnecessary when you consider the likely outcome had they not taken that action.
Would he have done the same thing in the same circumstances had the bloke been white? No chance imo.
I've seen some shocking videos the last few years of American cops. Got to be the worst trained police force on the planet, they just don't seem to know how to de-escalate a situation.
Well I can give you the answer of two outcomes, if the police had taken no action;
Floyd, he would have escaped having trying to pass off a fake $20 bill Wow!
Brooks, under the influence. He was running away from his car, he couldn't return to it, because the cops were there.
This latest with Blake, he had three kids in the car, there was a warrant for his arrest, so the warrant was already outstanding, what was the urgency to pick him up now.
