Read up a bit on the pitches, turns out we have sold parts of it and donated other parts to sports clubs and that certain bits are for sale I.e. centre circle, corners , the penalty spot for us must be the most underused section
We've been working with Enfield Town on their ground recently, for some reason.
Not sure what the connection between the two clubs is, apart from location, as we play a friendly against them every year, too.

Historical 'help your smaller neighbours' connection for Spurs
(similarly with the Os since the 1970s) .

For example, in 1981 THFC granted Enfield Town use of WHL as
the designated "home" venue for an FA Cup replay, which ensured
far greater gate receipts than they would have got at their (then)
Southbury Road ground.

I would like THFC to be alert/open to do similar nowadays with new WHL
for the Os and Enfield Town, where pitch condition + fixture schedules +
supporter numbers + costs make it beneficial.

At WHL, a relaying of the pitch from start to completion (ready for games,), was around 9 weeks.
At our new stadium, the ground staff reckon they can get it done in 7 weeks.
Still leaves it tight for the new season.

First game: away. Last game: also away. Standard. <ok>

I believe that back at old WHL we always asked for the first game away as something about the angles of the sunlight at particular dates meant that we needed an extra week to have the pitch properly ready. Could be that we’ve replicated that request only for a different reason.

You are correct, we did ask for away games on the opening day and it was related to angles of the sun in June in the Park Lane goalmouth.

I remember that night, Spurs fans turned up en masse & cheered their hearts out for Enfield who sadly lost but wasn't through lack of support.
I remember Enfield Town FC opening a nightclub with really good entertainers, a very nice evening out but cannot for the life of me remember the name of it. Are you there Smithy, do you know? We used to go to the Tottenham one too called the Chanteclare (I think). They were good money makers for the clubs in those days.

There's rumours suggesting that the WRU are looking at our stadium as a potential venue for their five home tests this autumn as the Principality Stadium is classed as out of bounds, presumably because (as far as I know) it's still serving as a temporary hospital

This came up earlier in the week, but the club really should sue the **** out of them for this.
They claim one thing as a big headline grabber, double down on it, then point out that it's actually bollocks, before saying it again.
The club didn't charge them anything. They hired additional security and cleaning staff from elsewhere.

Winks, Lo Celso and Tanganga feature. Hopefully that means that they're not too injured.
A couple of them may have lost their arseholes, though! <laugh>
