That report contradicts the reports from the WHO ...who said differently. I heard one of their reports saying something like 98% of school children were not the cause of infection spreads. Can you post your report so I can read it?
It was quoted this morning on our breakfast news that government scientists are totally agreed that children are less likely to pass on this virus to adults than adults to adults.... I can only speak for my kids schools in the fact that they are doing everything possible to make it safer for both teachers and kids...eg staggered break times, form ‘zones’ etc. Again my opinion, but I feel these kids need desperately to get back to their education, otherwise we will be feeling the effects for generations to come.
FFS Col, I’m not winding you up.....just stating my opinion, as I should have every right to do. I count you as a mate and am honestly not going out of my way to ‘wind you up’. I’m sure you might find some of the things I do ‘strange’....wouldn’t bother me to be honest.
Spot on. I found the article "In fact, there is overwhelming evidence that the risk of Coronavirus to children is tiny. According to the World Health Organisation, just 1-3% of all cases globally have been in children and adolescents, yet they account for 29% of the population."
Fair enough. Just seemed a bit strange to call something I'm doing to avoid catching a virus "my thing", as if it's something I like to do or would always choose to do. Anyway, if you say you're not on the wind up mate, that's fair enough.
Honestly mate, I think you’ve taken that one phrase in the wrong way as it really wasn’t meant to belittle you...just something I say often. No offence meant....and I do mean that
Governments world wide are erecting totalitarian states which has got nothing to do with that virus that has existed for million years now. Parents who accept their children having to wear masks must be out of their mind, totally ignorant what that does to them physically and psychologialy. "The Great Reset" is the reason for what is happening and thankfully there are more and more people that finally understand what is going on. More lockdowns ahead even though death toll has gone down all the time. Who cares about infections if "noone" is dying or getting seriously ill ?
We will find out one way or the other if the infection rate rises or not once the schools open. There are a lot of conflicting reports and opinions from various scientists and experts.......we will just have to see. Thankfully I'm not in a position to have to make the choice about school as my lad is home schooled albeit through tutors.
They just fill the airwaves with politicians or their preferred non-experts contradicting each other instead. Your bar for what merits praise in this government is akin to congratulating Jake Bidwell for taking to the field with his shoelaces already tied.
There's been a few outbreaks in the schools in Scotland already, an they've only been back a couple of weeks. As of next week, all secondary school children over 12 will need to wear masks in the communal areas and buses, but not in the classroom as they are distanced.
Well, you always come across as knowing better than others I thought you would run for PM. I await your manifesto Watford.
Scotland have decided secondary school children to wear masks. Wales reconsidering England no change...but I sense a u turn on the horizon. (Again) Above 12 years old kids transmit viruses, similar to other young adults of 18 or 21 years. So if you are asking people in street to do it...it is logical...(even if masks give limited but some small protection). Another example of poor joined up thinking. What Scotland does today, England tomorrow. Embarrassing
That's one view That Kranky woman is only doing stuff like this for political reasons... tell me you can see that? She is trying to divide the nations. She was first to cock up on exams yet our government seemed to get most of the bad press? She also cocked up on Covid issues but once again the media were more interested in us. She talks a good game but doesn't back it up.
It’s good of the de facto English government to let Scotland try things out first then still make the same mistake. True leadership.
