£30m for someone with less than a year left on their contract and no resale value is just asking to be mugged off in every other transfer, like Man Utd and Man City

It would probably cost us another £50m over the next few windows

We need to get rid of someone to create the space in the squad though, Karius and/or Grujic favourites for the chop

For me this is a one off. Exceptional player, exceptional circumstances. I would feel hard done by if the offer is actually there, we walk away and he goes to city. He will improve any team he goes to and to quibble over, let's say £10m, would be insane.

Or he could go there, flop and we get to laugh at them...
 
Liverpool have been handed a boost in their bid to sign Brighton defender Ben White this summer, as Leeds United have reportedly turned their attention away from the youngster. Marcelo Bielsa now wants to sign German defender Robin Koch.

Liverpool signing Thiago Alcantara for around £30million would be an "absolute steal", according to former Reds midfielder Don Hutchison. Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago is a top target for Jurgen Klopp in this transfer window. And Hutchison thinks he could be a potential replacement for Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum.
