yeah, maybe they were, that's why you loaned them, you only pay a part of their wages. try and slice it any way you want, but you lost carroll because you wouldn't pay him what he wanted, what makes you think you will now turn around and throw more money at lesser players??

as for our loan players, elmo and muntari have deals agreed, like you did with ben arfa, we are linked with a deal for onuoha, may or may not sign welbeck but have a proven track record of spending money. we are going to spend again in the summer. i know you think you will, but lets face it, you'll be skimming off duffers from the chumpionship again. does pardew have the same eye for a bargain as hughton??

enjoy cookie, he's a fine replacement for the big gypsy imo.

we are going to spend again in the summer

yes on making your loan signings permanent

Marseille have a 40,000 euro wage cap you spanner.

Hence why there players often leave, Niang left for Turkey as he was refused a pay rise above there 40,000 euro cap.

that's £36,500 a week, plus Ben Arfa would have likely got bonus payments from both Marseille and Newcastle for the move.

Ben Arfa will likely be on £40k a week tops.

(Niang went on record about this when he was trying to get his move)

a moderator calling me a spanner

disgusting

the north east society for the protection of spanners, unite!! i hear the screwdriver alliance of cumbria are prepared to offer you their support Newcastle United FC. in any case, you called someone a tool in a post above, what's the problem, got something against specificity??

hang on, you were keen to point out that our team having loan players was bad, ie that we weren't going to sign them, they weren't permanent. now we are going to sign them?? make your mind up!!

It's imaterial what wages both sets of players are on, for me it's the infrastructure of the club and the men at the helm, I can sleep soundly at night in the knowledge that my beloved club are in safe hands, we are currently sitting in a higher position in the EPL and our financial status is better than our neighbours.

If you want to pay higher wages to your players then so be it, that's why your club is in a financial mess.

I think Sunderland supporters taking the piss out of any signing that Pardew makes should think very long and hard. He has a great track record. Just ask Charlton supporters.

you said we are going to spend again in the summer

I said yes on making your loan signings permanent

players in which we had no problem in beating this season 5-1

the players we will sign in the summer will improve us however your funds will go on players already at your club on loan.

muppet

A minute ago you were asking them what their team would be next season as a lot of them were loan signings.

Seem to remember Steve Bruce quoting the club record 'was likely to be broken in the summer'.

The most valuable of the loanees is probs Ned(£6-8million) as Welbeck will be another years lon.

As Gyan was £13million, i'd say we'll likely see a face or 2 not here.

Thing is, your severely weakened without Carroll, and don't kid yourself Tiote will remain if Chelsea , Arsenal or United come calling.

One of them will.

*must have had.

pot. kettle. black.

and i can see kuqi being with you lot for a good long while. you're kidding yourselves if you think you are going to go out and drop that £35m on a new striker.
