Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move to sign Liverpool midfielder Harry Wilson on loan this summer, and Ryan Giggs has claimed that the Welsh midfielder boasts similar set-piece ability to David Beckham.

According to the Mirror via Yahoo Esportes, Liverpool have enquired about Vasco da Gama starlet Talles Magno, who is slated to be available for a cut-price fee this summer.

It’s claimed that the Premier League champions have used the enquiry to sound out if the signing of the 18-year-old forward is actually realistic for the club.

The Mirror add that Magno’s release clause stands at £45m, however given the financial troubles that Vasco are facing the versatile forward could be available for a cut-price fee of £18m.

It’s added that the Brazil youth
ope to continue to improve where possible.

The financial fallout of the virus is yet to be truly felt. The world is about to enter a deep, prolonged recession. Businesses are assuming that revenue will be 15-20% lower, worse in many other cases. They have to ‘cut their cloth to suit’ Football clubs who are run like a business, will be cutting costs appropriately. Clubs that are a plaything of mega rich owners will not. We have to accept that because there is no alternative.

I expect that we will have a net zero spend this summer.

Liverpool FC board tell Jurgen Klopp to sell Naby Keita to sign Thiago - report
The Liverpool FC board wants Jurgen Klopp to sell Naby Keita to fund a move for Thiago Alcantara, according to a report
The Liverpool FC board want Jurgen Klopp to sell Naby Keita to fund a move to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara this summer, according to a report in Germany.
German media outlet Kicker, as quoted by the Metro, is reporting that the Liverpool FC manager is still eager to get a deal over the line for the experienced Spain international in the 2020 summer transfer window.
The same article states that the Bundesliga champions want Liverpool FC to pay £32m for the 29-year-old despite the Spanish star having just 12 months left to run on his current deal.

I mean that’s the most bullshit story seen in a while. Why would fsg who are known to prefer buying younger players with resell value want to sell Keita who is approaching his peak and looked beat player post lockdown for a guy who is 29 and has a poor injur record.

oh and the fact that the board trust klopp to do what’s right and so far haven’t got involved in football side of things at all <doh>

Sky Sports report the Premier League giants will not meet the German club's August 10 deadline to get the deal done and are prepared to wait until next summer to get their man.
Dortmund have refused to budge from their asking price of £108 million, and United are not willing to commit to that by next week. If nobody moves, the deal looks set for collapse this month.
Although Sancho is very much their number one target this summer, reports say they will wait it out if they have to.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Dharmesh Sheth said United chief Ed Woodward is determined to get the best deal possible.

Yasser Larouci is in talks to join a new club after snubbing an improved long-term Liverpool deal.
The Merseysiders have been told by the left-back’s representatives he will not sign an extension to his current deal, which expires next year.

His choice. You can't blame players for having ambition. I think he must have known the score when he signed. I reckon he will quietly disappear into obscurity now.

U23's isn't obscurity it's part of the development process. He's not getting the step up as quickly as he'd like so he wants to leave presumably for first team football. He can get that at a smaller club but unless they can develop him quicker and better than he would be developed at Liverpool, then he will bounce around and may never achieve his potential.

He clearly isn't good enough in Klopp's eyes then. On several occasions Robertson has been injured this season or rested and an ageing Milner has played there and even Williams.

Correct. Plus you can't blame him getting frustrating when he keeps seeing an aging CM get the nod at LB ahead of him and then a young RB (Williams) too

The Liverpool Echo are reporting that Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic will not be loaned out next season and will only be allowed to leave on a permanent basis should bids in excess of £20million be received. Otherwise, they will stay at Liverpool.
