I'll just be glad to actually have a proper lb back up tbh.

Won't expect much for the 1st few months ala most signings under klopp

To better assess who we might buy, we need to know who we will sell first...and more critically, for how much.

Lovren :emoticon-0150-hands
Shaqiri <confused>
Wilson <confused>
Grujic <confused>
Matip <confused>
Origi <confused>

Needed (imo)

LB
CB
CM
FW

it’s going to be a long few weeks <yikes><laugh>

I can't see us selling Origi unless he wants to leave, as I struggle to see how we'll find a better striker than him that will be ok with being second fiddle.

I don't think we need a CM. Even if those leave, we'll still have seven (Hendo, Wijnaldum, Ox, Keita, Milner, Jones and Fabinho) for three midfield places.

it’s the one area that we could manage for sure....I still feel that we miss a player that creates more in the middle personally but appreciate that the current midfield have just won everything so perhaps I’m being greedy <laugh>

Not seen or even heard of him before a week ago but nice that we’re getting proper cover at LB. coming in a back up initially so will get time to learn the ropes in training same way Robbo did.

Again impressed by LFC management though. Can’t get player you want for what you want, fine, we’ll leave it and won’t be held to ransom. Have other targets so we’ll move on.

which would be a more favourable position if we truly want to challenge on multiple fronts.
Yeah, I think Werner would have worked well for us, he's top quality and will score plenty for Chelsea. But there you go.
Origi does provide something different for us and will always be a cult hero at Liverpool whatever happens in the future, but I think we still
have to ask ourselves the question 'Can we strengthen that front line'?...and as good as we are, we can always improve

Like others said. Know nothing about the guy, but just glad we have cover for Robertson. Williams progression is fantastic for the other side too. Milner will be just as cover for midfield where needed

And we wouldn't pay £50m for a bench warmer.......

he wouldn’t be a bench warmer. He’d start plenty of games as would rotate the front 3. Onl reason they don’t get rotated much atm is because the quality of the back up is poor.

remember couple years ago when klopp barely played that front 3 together at all for about 2 months over xmas because was rotating to keep fresh.

Just for comparison. The midfield we’d all probably say our main 3 are Hendo Gini Fabinho.

last season League appearances
gini 37
Hendo 30
ox 30
Fabinho 28
Milner 22
keita 18
Lallana 15

so given how we had 7 players for those 3 positions most still managed 20 appearances and that’s with injuries. Anyone who thinks werner wouldn’t have played a part in 30+ league games last season not even counting for injuries to the current front 3 in my opinion is wrong.

Also just for info, origi played 28 league games so can’t tell me werner wouldn’t have play at least that

Thing is, it's not just about the number of games that they would play, it's also about which games they would play, as strikers' egos tend to be bigger than most.
