Tough to unravel how well "Wealthy" countries have done based on their population densities (people per square mile or per sq km, number of high density conurbations in a given country and (especially) quality of health systems and the services available to "older" populations...Degree of "lockdown measures" may well be impossible to quantify alone.

Notwithstanding how the numbers are recorded & reported in different countries.

Several other countries that have had way more restrictions with a worse outcome.

I'm more worried about repercussions from shuting everything down in the long run than the actual virus.
We'll probably never know if it was the right or the wrong thing, too many variables. I just thought the FT's headline was a touch insensitive.
